Arrival Story:
We were searching for the perfect companion for Helix and we found her on Petfinder. Thinking she was too big for us, we overlooked her initially. After talking to the shelter where she was, they told us she was only 35 lbs and 18" tall- the perfect size that we were looking for. So after getting a little bit more information on her (she was dumped on a farm and then surrendered by the farmer because she chased the cows) we decided to go meet her. She and Helix got along right away! We had met the perfect dog for us- sweet, cuddly, playful and gorgeous.
Bio:
Kira is fitting in wonderfully! We can't believe how lucky we are to have found her. She and Helix love to play (although sometimes it sounds like they're trying to kill each other...) and she loves to get attention from us. She is really smart and has caught on very quickly to "sit" and "down" and "come". She's very focussed on us, which is quite the change after training Helix :)
