Arrival Story:
Only a few hours after I had lost my much loved little boy (Floaty) I received an e-mail from a wonderful lady with a petfinder pic that asked if I had any interest in adopting this cute little red boy who was in a shelter 4 1/2 hours away from me. Keep in mind--he was at a high kill shelter and a decision would have to be made rather quickly. After much soul searching and consideration (I almost thought the e-mail some sort of sign to ease the pain I was feeling from my loss) I made the decision to adopt. I spoke to the shelter rep (a wonderful lady) TONS of times and finally I made the longgggggg trip and brought Kane (who was then known as CoCo) home.

Bio:
What Kane is to me is 26 pounds of sheer love and joy wrapped in red fur. He had a horrible start in life (he has cigarette burn scars on both sides) but he just couldn't be happier now. How anyone could hurt him like that ...well it boggles my mind--all he wants is to love and be loved. He's my best friend and constant companion. (He really really does say I WUV WOO-OO).
