Well I graduated Basic Obedience class 2 weeks ago. I did really good. If you go by school grades I would have 4 A's and 2 B's. Although I blame my mommy on the 2 B's. She was too slow on the heels and recalls and was not that strick with me on them either. Mommy says we will be working harder on them in the future. She also signed us up for their yearly dog club membership so we can go once a week and do some more training if we want. They also do dog competitions and other titles, but mommy does not want me to do that. It would be a lot of work. She might enroll us in the CGC title in the future. She said we will have to see.

We were graded on: (The highest was a Very Good)
Heels - Good
Stands - Very Good (Trainer pointed out that this was an excellent example)
Figure 8's - Very Good
Sit/Stay (1 minute) - Very Good
Down/Stay (3 minutes) - Very Good
Recalls - Good

In the mean time I am back at doggie playgroup on Saturdays. I have missed it since I was at training. The time frame fell at the same time. Now I am back and loving it. This Saturday I am going to meet up with a fellow Dane pup at the playground. We met on DOL. I hope all goes well.

Tonight we will be going to membership training for the first time. I wonder what that will be like. We will see.

As far as health wise I am good and will be going for my yearly check up next month. I do have a cut on my back no thanks to my mommy. She took down the hand rail to the stairs (to strip and stain) and left the brackets on the wall. I was high tailing up the stairs chasing Daddy and ran into it. Now I have a 1 inch scab and bald spot. It was not a deep cut just on the surface. I hope for mommy's sake that the hair grows back. I have to look my best you know.

OK, mommy still has not learned her lesson. She turned her back again. I got a raw chicken breast. Yum! I swallowed it fast. Mommy did not know it was gone until she counted them. Hee! Hee! Well mommy would say that I have not learned my lesson on counter surfing, but I would beg to differ. I really luck out sometimes. I have learned to stay away from the table when people are eating. I just can not resist the counter.

Oh! Ya! I forgot to tell you!

Mommy signed us up for basic training. I have gone to my second training already. There are so many new faces and puppy pals that I want to meet and play with, but I am not allowed. It is work, work, work. I do not want to do it. I already know all this stuff. Why do I have to do this? Well my mommy says that I do not listen when I am distracted, so we have to go.

I was really bad in the last training session. So know when we are "just" training I have to wear this silver chain. It gives me a little squeeze everytime I do not listen to a command. Mommy and the trainer call it a prong collar. I have to listen now. Ahh...

Went to the vet a few days ago for a weigh in and I am now 123lbs. I was 115lbs a few months ago. I am also 32"-33" tall at the shoulders. Hard to tell because I want to play with the tape measure. If you go by the growth chart for danes I am doing well. For a 1 year old on the growth chart we should be around 90-135 lbs and 28"-36" tall at the shoulder.

Oh! Also my breeder wrote me to tell me that I am an Aunt to 4 males. I think in a few months we are going to go see my breeder to say hi and to show him how big and smart I have gotten.

Bark to you later!

I just turn 1 this month. Wow! time flys.

It has been awhile since I last made an entry. Just to much to do and little time.

Let's see! What have I been up too since Thanksgiving?

Sleep, sleep, sleep and oh ya! sleep.

I now have my own bedroom. They hooked me up wth my own futon, but kept the crate up for those days I want to feel more secure. I still like to lay on mommy's bed during the day, but get sent to my room when it is bedtime. I go, but don't like it. Good news is I am allowed back on when daddy goes to work in the early morning.

I have found that I do not like pickles or lettuce and black olives are not tiny balls, but actually yummy food. I have also learned it is benificial to me and my tummy to hang around young nieces and nephews with food. They do not keep an eye on their food like the adults. I have tasted many wonderful things like pizza, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and hot dogs etc...

My daddy has signed up for church softball this year and as long as mommy goes along I can go and watch him play and I get to meet so many new people.

This past weekend I got to play with my nieces. The little one likes to hang all over me, but I am patient and it can be fun at times.

Got to go. If I think of anything else I will write a new entry.
