Arrival Story:
My mini schnauzer Fritz came out to live with me from Wisconsin, and he was missing his other animal pals. We found Taz at the Peninsula Humane Society, and it was love at first sight for the dogs and for us.

Bio:
We think maybe Taz was originally purchased as a pet for a child. He absolutely loved kids and would sit at the end of the yard with his whole body wagging when the neighbor kids were out playing just begging them to come and play with him. Thankfully they often came over and asked if Taz can come out to play. He grabbed his favorite tennis ball (which is any tennis ball he can find) and out he would goe to play! The vet felt that Taz may have had distemper as a puppy and he struggled with bad teeth and gums his entire life. Recently the constant infections in his mouth spread to the rest of him and the happy little dog was no more. He spent his days huddled in a corner until it finally registered with me that his quality of life had deteriorated to the point that I would let him suffer no more. We lost our little friend on June 28. We Love You Taz, thank you for all the love you gave us and the many many smiles. You will always be in our hearts.
