Likes: Curling up under the ottoman(where did she go?). Learning new things and bringing people their shoes. Bree would REALLY like to have her own person to help, play with and adore. Pet-Peeves: Not being allowed to play with every dog she sees. car rides *UPDATE* Bree has learned to enjoy car rides and now does just fine! Favorite Toy: The Chuckit and Sassy. Sassy is a toy right? Favorite Food: Treats! Favorite Walk: Any walk, anytime, anywhere! Going to the mall is good. Best Tricks: As a Service dog in training, Bree is learning tasks, not tricks though she will hold a treat on her nose. Arrival Story: Bree was originally acquired and trained with the intentions of becoming a Service Dog for a gentleman with MD (the brother of the trainer). Very sadly, Don died before Bree's training was complete, albeit, she had been trained to do many wonderful tasks.
Bree's owner transferred her to us so that we could continue Bree's training as a SD and so that she could be eventually matched with a person who can take full advantage of Bree's special skills and talents. Bree is currently in training.
UPDATE 8/2009 - Bree's new owner has been identified. A young man with a C5/6 spinal injury (quadripeligic) will partner with Bree in late Aug2009 at the Committed Canine course at DarnFar Ranch http://darnfar.com/SERVICE_DOG/
We are very excited about this new development for Bree and Kevin, her new owner. Bio: Bree is very trainable, smart, very sweet and really likes to help! She will make someone a fine partner.
