Arrival Story:
I was born in Florida. I was special cause I have papers. I promise, I didn't pee on them. When it was time to say goodbye to my mamma, a man took me to Ohio as a birthday present to a nice lady named Cindy. But they had this giant bird living there who made a lot of noise and flapped its wings when I was around. It was really scarey. So Cindy asked her friend if I might come to live with them. A man and a lady and a boy and a girl came to see me. I was so scared that I didn't make a very good impression. I peed on the floor and couldn't stop shaking. They didn't seem to mind and the man picked me up and made me feel all warm and safe. He is my dad now and my favorite human. At the new house they had a giant, dog named Roadie who was a rhodesean ridgeback. He was getting pretty old but he let me romp and tumble and do puppy stuff all over him. If he got too tired he would just take his giant paw and hold me down till I stopped. When he had to cross over the Rainbow Bridge we all missed him terribably but I did my best to make everyone smile. They had a cat named Tara who ran the household. She was kind of a grouch and never wanted to play. But she did keep a close eye on me all the time. Which was a good thing cos I was a handful. I had lots of tricks. And I loved to play. The girl Jessica, would dress me in doll clothes. The boy Jared would take me swimming in the pool. I was a great swimmer.

Bio:
One time my mamma gave me my own kitten named Mavrick. It was really fun but kinda stupid. I convinced it that he was a dog. And we were great pals. One day Mav went away and we could not find him. That was a sad day. So it was just me and Tara and a long stream of cats who came and went. The word was out that cats would be loved, fed and cared for if they wandered up, so lots of cats have come and gone here. Then one wonderful day, my momma brings home this teeny tiney puppy named Brody (after my old pal, Roadie). We are the best of friends. We would just play and play and play. But Brody did not stay little. He got enormous! We are older now and are still the very best of friends. We don't play so much any more but we love each other a lot. A very special dog named Nikki came into our family a year and a half ago. She was a huskey/shepherd mix, a stray, who had like all the rest of us, found this loving family. Nikki and I were the bestest of friends and played a lot and shared the look out window on the back of the couch. Brody doesn't play so much any more because he hurts a lot and doesn't move so good now. Nikki went to live just North of the Rainbow Bridge on Feb. 6, 2008. Nikki was the smartest dog you ever wanted to see, but Nikki had a really bad habit of digging under the fence and running away. My family did everything they could do to prevent her from doing this but Nikki always managed to out smart them. She liked to run and run and didn't always pay attention to the road. Me an Brody know to stop when we get near the road, but Nikki wouldn't stop and a car hit her and took her from us. We have all been terribably sad and miss her. So that is my story. I am getting kinda old now and I have lots of funny bumps on me that my mamma and my Vet say aren't good bumps. I can still out walk Brody.
