The life of a Paddle Pawed Hound by Faxon

Wow time flys...

Particularly when you are having fun.

Bear didn't realise it had been so long since we did a Diary update so heres all the latest news. :)

We went on a holiday to a place called Daylesford in Victoria. It was really cool cos the place we stayed was all fenced and Lucy and I could run right around the house. This was lots of fun. We kept Bear and Anita amused for hours. We also went for a couple of walks in the bush. This was also really fun I got to leap up onto rocks and pretend to be a noble hound...which of course I actually am.

We still do obedience training every week. Unfortunately we a still doing primary companion. It seems I am supposed to do this thing called a retrieve but I don't really see the point of it. If Bear is going to throw something then she can go get it. I have better things to do .... like look handsome and be adored!

It seems I have trained Bear particularly well cos she is now going to be an instructor at the dog club. Clever Bear!

Well that's all for now. I'll try to get Bear to updat this a bit more regularly in future.

We Passed!

We Did It! We passed Transition level obedience at our first comp day attempt. We only just passed but a pass is a pass.

The next question is what do we do next. Do we do Novice obedience trialling or Companion dog? We've got a week to think about it. :)

The year so far.

Well it has been an interesting year so far.

My Brother Magick came and visited me along with Mum Jacky, Kay and Charlie. Jacky bought Caharlie and Magick to Canberra for a big dog show - The Canberra Royal Show - and another smaller show - The ACT Hound Club Show. I didn't get to go to these cos I'm not a show dog and you are only allowed to take dogs that are entered in the show - stupid rule in my opinion.

I found Magick and Charlie a bit overwhelming and had to protect Bear, Anita and Lucy from them. This meant I was a bit grumpy for the time they were here. It wasn't until the last day that I realised that I didn't need to protect anyone and could have had a nice time playing with everyone. Ah well maybe next time.
