Arrival Story: My husband and I went to the pound to pay the license fees that were due on our other dogs. Naturally, I went back to look at the dogs in the kennels. My husband came back to find me and I was sitting with Amy (then named Kalie), petting and playing with her. We were both taken with her, but decided not to adopt a 4th dog. We went home and could not get her out of our heads and hearts! We visited her one more time, and then talked about it some more and came to realize we had to adopt that sweet girl dog. We thank God every day that we adopted her -- she is the most wonderful, sweet, playful, adorable dog!
Bio: She is just a super dog. She is Bella's new best doggie-friend. Amy LOVES to play with other dogs, and she is just what Bella needed. They play all the time! She had a hard time bouncing back after spay surgery, but now she is happy and healthy and loved and completely spoiled. She sleeps on the bed at night, goes for daily walks, plays with Bella, snuggles her Daddy (she's definitely a Daddy's Girl!)... she has a wonderful doggie life. We couldn't be happier with her. She rides beautifully in the car, is a delight to walk, plays so well with our other dogs... Amy is a blessing and we are so lucky to have her... it was meant to be that we adopted this sweet doggie!
My favorite stuff:: Cookies, Frisbee, Walks, hiking, the DOG PARK (!!), going for a ride in the car, playing with my best friend in the whole world -- Bella! Sleeping on the bed, playing with Daddy, getting snuggles from Mommy while sitting on her lap... and most of all, I love that I have a wonderful forever home.
I have not been eating well the last couple of days. I'm just not as interested in my food, even when Mommy and Daddy try to make it more fun with scrambled eggs or sliced hot dog…. I just nibble. Other than that, I still play and act like my usual self. Mommy and Daddy are a little worried about me not eating well though.
I almost didn't get my walk with my doggie friend Karly this morning because I didn't want my breakfast and Mommy thought maybe I wasn't up to walking! HORRORS! She even loaded Autumn in the car instead of me and they were going to leave without me! So I made sure to run to the door and wag my nubby-but like crazy so Mommy would know I was feeling good enough to walk. And that is how BOTH me and Autumn got to go to walkies with Mommy's friend Judie and her doggie Karly today!
Maybe my tummy will be all better in the morning. Mommy hopes so!
Today I went for long walkies with Mommy and Bella! I don't usually walk with Bell, I usually walk with Autumn. But today Autumn got to go all by herself to the bike trail! So Bella and I got to go for a fun walk and Bell introduced me to her "fence friends", which are doggies in their fenced yards that say hi and sniff noses through the fence with Bella as she walks by! I sniffed noses with three HUGE Rottweilers today! Also, we made fence friends with a big white horse!
Now I am tired Aussie, also I'm happy Aussie. Yay for long walkies with Bella and Mommy!
Today our neighborhood was on fire! Thank God that the houses didn't burn down even though the fire was only 10 feet away from houses when the airplane swooped down and put it out! We were getting ready to evacuate! This afternoon there were still firefighters and firetrucks and hoses and smelly smoke. When we went for our walk and Mommy said "thank you!" to all the firefighters, I said "thank you!" too! I went up to them and wagged my little nubby and let them pet me.
Fire is scary and I'm sure glad it didn't eat our house and our yard and all the other houses and yards! Thank you to God and firefighters!
