Gotcha Date: January 11th 2008 Birthday: January 11th 2006 Likes: Playing with Bella, being near her Daddy, chewing on her Nylabones Pet-Peeves: Being locked out of the bedroom, being left behind when Daddy or Mommy goes somewhere Favorite Toy: Bella! Also Nylabones Favorite Food: Cream Cheese, any meat, people food of all sorts Favorite Walk: Our neighborhood, in town... really, anywhere! Best Tricks: "Sit to say please" ~ an automatic sit when she wants something; catching frisbees! Arrival Story: My husband and I went to the pound to pay the license fees that were due on our other dogs. Naturally, I went back to look at the dogs in the kennels. My husband came back to find me and I was sitting with Amy (then named Kalie), petting and playing with her. We were both taken with her, but decided not to adopt a 4th dog. We went home and could not get her out of our heads and hearts! We visited her one more time, and then talked about it some more and came to realize we had to adopt that sweet girl dog. We thank God every day that we adopted her -- she is the most wonderful, sweet, playful, adorable dog! Bio: She is just a super dog. She is Bella's new best doggie-friend. Amy LOVES to play with other dogs, and she is just what Bella needed. They play all the time! She had a hard time bouncing back after spay surgery, but now she is happy and healthy and loved and completely spoiled. She sleeps on the bed at night, goes for daily walks, plays with Bella, snuggles her Daddy (she's definitely a Daddy's Girl!)... she has a wonderful doggie life. We couldn't be happier with her. She rides beautifully in the car, is a delight to walk, plays so well with our other dogs... Amy is a blessing and we are so lucky to have her... it was meant to be that we adopted this sweet doggie! Forums Motto: If you don't run you'll rust! The Groups I'm In: "Black-and-tan Dogz of the world"
My favorite stuff:: Cookies, Frisbee, Walks, hiking, the DOG PARK (!!), going for a ride in the car, playing with my best friend in the whole world -- Bella! Sleeping on the bed, playing with Daddy, getting snuggles from Mommy while sitting on her lap... and most of all, I love that I have a wonderful forever home.
The other night I got to be the bye-bye dog and go into town with Mommy for a walk! We enjoyed the cool evening as we walked around the hospital where Mommy works.
They are opening a new wing and there was a big tent up and lots of people in suits and dresses celebrating the grand opening. We walked by them and Mommy was enjoying the view.
Then... I had to make a poop. Mommy was surprised and worried as I squatted right down on the nice bark by the nice gardening in front of the new building. Luckily she had a baggie and was able to clean up my poopers before anyone saw!
I made a contribution to the new hospital wing! I consider it a donation, hehehehe!
We got our walkies in the evening today, and at first it was so wonderful! It was cool and windy and cloudy and moist out! I was sniffing lots and marking lots (peepee!).
Well, you know how I'm scared of loud sounds? We were on our way home when the scariest sound of all happened.... first there was a lightening... and then there was a THUNDER!!!
I did not panic, but I was very worried and I pulled Mommy all the way home even though I was wearing my front ring harness designed to help me not pull too hard. Mommy says we were lucky that there was only one thunder! I have to agree. But she says she is proud of me for not panicking, and I have to say I'm proud of myself too!
Hope there is no thunder tomorrow on my walk, although I sure like when it rains and makes everything smell so good!
