Arrival Story:
We had discussed getting a dog for two years. I wanted a toy breed that I could tote around in my purse Paris-Hilton-style (ha!). My boyfriend wanted a cocker spaniel, because he had one about 20 years ago. I did some research online and finally warmed to the idea of getting a cocker. More searching online, and I found a pet store had some cockers on sale. (Yes, I now know about pet stores and that some are not reputable. ) We talked to the owner and looked at the littermates who were cuddled up and sleeping. We woke up a light-colored one and spent about 15 minutes getting to know the little freckled guy. We decided to take him home with us. A few days later, we settled on his name, and he has become a wonderful addition to our family (especially after he was housebroken! haha!).
