Arrival Story:
This beautiful sweet giant was at the SEAACA Animal Shelter and was rescued the day he was scheduled to be put to sleep on September 30th 1997. He was almost full grown at the time but weighed just 51 lbs, basically skin and bones. Today he is 120 lbs and loves life. Although he is 11 years old he is in wonderful shape and has fought cancer [twice]. Update 3/25/08 [three times].

Gorgi is the biggest sweet heart. He loves people, adores children and even tolerates cats (he lives with two felines).

Just wanted to give all of Gorgi's buddies an update! He's doing so well. He's incredible and after only 5 days since his major surgery he is running around and eating like a horse. :) The pain medication has not only helped the pain but has made his arthritis non-existent; he's been doing things he used to do 10 years ago. It's so great seeing him so happy after such a miserable week!

3/25 Scary Day

Today Gorgi had his 4th and hopefully last major surgery. He had his left canine molar removed as well as a large tumor on his chest. The chest incision was 15 inches long, :( Gorgi was so strong and made it through 2.5 hours of surgery. He's sleeping now and hopefully comfortable, but its hard to tell. His pain tolerance is so high, sometimes we wonder how much he hides.

It's amazing how much he loves life and will keep fighting! I hope that he can live out the rest of his life without having to face another surgery!

I wanted to post this to let all of Gorgi's buddies know that he is well and will soon be his old self. I also wanted to thank his wonderful Vet Dr. Sam Lee at Plaza Pet Hospital in Lake Forest and his amazing assistant Sharon. They took such good care of him today; I don't think we would have been able to get through the day if we didnt have such wonderful people taking care of Gorgi.
