Arrival Story:
Daddy told mommy they could only have another dog if it was the "perfect one," so mommy looked and looked until she found her. It only took 3 weeks! Emma and her sibs had had a fungus that made them lose all their fur, so they weren't able to be adopted until they were already 4 months old. The rescue people were worried she would be sad to leave her sibs. She was sad the whole way home, but as soon as we got home and sat her in the yard, she started jumping around and hasn't stopped since. Emma also loved her new sister right away and follows her everywhere.

I've had it pretty sweet lately. When mommy or daddy lets me out in the backyard I've discovered that I can tear up the boards in the fence and explore the neighborhood. Cool! The only downside is that for some reason mommy and daddy don't let me out as much anymore and are always watching me when they do. How am I supposed to sneak away when they're watching me?! Well yesterday, a nice man came over and was hanging out in the yard with daddy. When we came back in I realized that he's from a fence company and they're were talking about building a new fence. In just a few weeks! How will I go visit my favorite neighbors and chase squirrels in the woods if I'm stuck in our yard? Oh well, I bet mommy and daddy might let me hang out in the yard more often and at least chase our local squirrels around. I guess that's ok too.

Well, so far I have liked all the "holidays" this year. Mama always gives me and my sis special treats so we feel special too. However, something called Halloween is coming up and I don't know if I'm gonna like it. They bought me a "costume" and put it on me. It's not like my collar where it's just around my neck, it goes on my head, legs, everywhere! I don't know what it's for and it feels really funny. I squiggle out of it fast, but they keep putting it back on for practice. Practice for what?

Yippie! We're back from the beach. At first I thought I was going to like it, but it got old real quick. The first day we got there mommy let me run and chase birds, that was fun! But then that night we slept on the ground outside! That's crazy, we're not animals! So the second day I wasn't feeling as frisky and we still didn't go home! We went on a hike through the woods and I got icky burrs all over my feet. Of course by the time we got to the beach, I wasn't in as good a mood and mostly hid under the chair we brought so I wouldn't get so much sand in my eyes. I'd had it, but mommy and daddy decided we'd sleep on the ground again! Thank goodness the next day we finally put all our stuff back in the car and came home!
