Bio:
ADOP T 08 CONTEST Sally is a sweet, 1 year old beagle mix that I adopted a year ago. She was rescued from a horrible situation by a great organization that specializes in special needs dogs. Because her illness resulted in blindness, the rescue had trouble placing sweet Sally and had basically labeled her as unadoptable. Then along I came for a visit - just a visit - because I had recently lost my 13 year old cocker spaniel and I was heartbroken. I was sure I wasn't ready to love a new pup, it was JUST A VISIT. Yeah, well, it was love at first snuggle and Sally was on her way home. Despite her disability, Sally is feisty, brave & adventurous. She loves to snuggle and play and even climbs into the dishwasher to look for scraps. As cliche as it sounds, Sally rescued me as much as I rescued her the day we found each other. This little blind puppy opened my eyes and helped me to remember what is really important in life - unconditional love, a home filled with joy, a soft spot to fall at the end of the day and someone to share it all with. Having her in my life has given me much more than I give her. I am so glad that she found her way to me...
