Tabitha's First Show

Tabitha had her first show this past weekend and following in the footsteps of her mother, grandmother and other Derby girls she caused quite a stir. She won Winners Bitch from the 6 to 9 Puppy class earning her first two points and nearly took breed the judge was so enamored with her, however she took Best of Winners and Best of Opposite sex instead. The judge made comments every time Tabitha was in the ring (puppy class, winners bitch, and best of breed), saying “You bred her right!” and “In my ten years of breeding working dogs this is what I like to see.” And “Your going to do lots of winning with this girl when she matures.”

Outside the ring everyone was asking her age, linage and other such various questions. A nice lady we met at the show went so far as to post the results on the Swissy-L list with the comment: "a drop dead gorgeous 6 month puppy bitch" next to her name. Kristen and Kim, Tabitha's breeders received emails from various people who read the list in regards to Tabitha's identity, all of us found it quite flattering.

Tabitha loved being in the ring and showed beautifully, no one would have guessed it was her first show. Her tail never stopped wagging in true swissie form. Our next show is in December in Miami, where there should be majors.
