Arrival Story:
Lilly was originally owned by a homeless man. He had found her and her siblings abandoned near a dumpster. No sign of a mother or father dog in sight. The wife of the builder of our swimming pool saw the man sharing a can of tuna with Lilly at a 7-11, he begged her to take the puppy explaining she was the last of a litter he had found. She picked her up and took her home. A few weeks later the builder showed up at our house with Lilly. He was getting out of his pick up truck as I opened the front door of the house to greet him. That's when I saw Lilly for the first time. She was no bigger than an average sized kitten as he put her on the ground from the cab of the truck. She looked my way as I said hello to the guy and immediately took off running towards me. She ran straight to me, wagging her tail as I picked her up and held her. That's when the pool builder told me we could have her if we wanted. I knew from then on she'd be ours. She's been nothing but a true blessing to my wife and I. Simply put: a gift from God.
