PAST,PRESENT & FUTURE-GIDGET

ALL OF OUR NEW FRIENDS HERE ON DOGSTER & GROUPS PLEASE- READ......

Today is saturday Feb. 16th,2008. L.J. is helping me typethis for obvious reasons! We wish there was sometype of an INSTANT Message board where we could post really importat stuff so all of our friends could read and see what's going on in case they were wondering why our MOM hasn't been on the website very much lately.

Well Mom is sick she has the FLU, she went to the Dr. and he gave hr a shot just like the Vet. gives us shots sometmes, ouch! anyway she just wanted to let all of our human friends,fur friends and new friends who have all sent us messages and treats that as soon as she is feeling better she will write back to evryone..

Ok then L.J.'s arms are gettin tired from trying to stretch to type all ofthis so we are gonna go and chec on Mom. Woof Woof Squeak to all of our furfriends we hope you all stay healthy and have a beautiful weekend.

to the vets office I go

Well I should have listened to what my mom kept saying, she told me to slow down and then she put a little sweater on me to try and protect my little chest which is just rubbed raw from all of the extracurricular running and jumping I put myself thru. Well I rolled around under my mom and dads bed and finally got the sweater off over my head, wow that was a lot of work. So I played with my fur friends running up and down the hall way and in and around the bedrooms, we were all having so much fun I didn't even notice that I was bleeding! My mom was so scared, she picked me up and started wiping the blood off of me and telling me I just need to slow down and rest for awhile. I guess it was bleeding more than I thought because the next thing I knew we were at the vets. office. I had to get some kind of shot and this cream to help me not get an infection in the wound I have created on my chest and my little nub on the left side of my body. I also have to wear this thing around my neck so that I can't lick the cream off. I HATE IT, I WANT IT OFF OF ME NOW!!! Hopefully we can take it off tomorrow.

So Now I have to lay in my bed and stay quiet, no playing for me for a couple of days until this clears up. I will let all of my fur friends and there human caretakers know what is going on and how I am healing up.

I'M GONNA GET SOME WHEELS

My name is GIDGET and I am a special needs girl. I was born without my front legs, I do have a little nub on my left side and it kinda helps me to balance when I stand on my hind legs. I came from a person just out to make money on me and my brothers and sisters, she is a backyard breeder. I don't know what my life would be like if my mom hadn't found me that day in August and wrapped me in a towel and brought me home to Las Vegas. My mom does physical therapy with me 2-4 times a week, she fills up the sink with warm water and helps me to swim using my hind legs, my legs are VERY strong and I can even walk about 10 inches on my hind legs. Every time I stand up and walk my family always has treats to give me at the end of my hard work. My mom says she is ordering my wheels from a placein Mass. and I should have them around the end of March, I am just still really small, I only weigh 1.9 pounds still and I am about 5 1/2 months old, but I need some wheels really badly as I love to chase all of my friends in the house and my chest is getting really sore from the carpet burns. My mom tries to make me slow down a little but I just wait until she isn't watching and I take off again to play. I am spoiled and sometimes I get extra special attention from my mom especially when I get the roll of toilet paper out of the bathroom and bring it still connected all the way out to the living room to give to my mom! I am such a good helper. I will update the story of my wheels again soon.
