HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Today is my Birthday. Well me and my family doesn't know the exact day my Birthday is but February 14th is the day my mom found me in the trash can, so she said that February 14th will always be my day.

It's still very early, when mom got up this morning she came to my bed and looked under the covers, I looked at her and blinked my eyes and rolled over onto my back so I could get a tummy rub, I LOVE THAT! After my tummy rub mom brought me some scrambled egg, I LOVE THAT to. All of my doggie brothers and sisters came over to see what I was eating and I know they all wanted some, but mom told them that it was my special day today and the egg was for me only.

Mom told me that we are having a couple of my friends over tonight so we will take some pics of my party, we wish that all of my new friends from Dogster could come to my party tonight.

Ok I need to get some rest for the big party tonight hope all my fur friends have a super happy valentine's day! Love L.J.-Long Journey

Not A VERY GOOD DAY FOR ME

I started out the day pretty much like most days, I waited for mom to get up, I got out of bed and said good morning to her, then I went back to bed to rest for awhile. When mom started getting for ready for work I wanted to go and see her but I was starting not to feel good, mom saw me just kinda sitting up in my bed and came over and held me for a few minutes. She gave me my medicine I take and put me back in bed. I fell asleep for awhile and when I woke up I thought I was feeling better but no, I had a seizure in the hallway, I tried to stand up but I just fell over. Mom was so worried for me she went into work a little later than normal.

After I have one of those seizures I get really tired so I slept the rest of the afternoon. When mom got home I was so excited, she gave me some chicken and my special dog food, I guess I got a little to excited and had another seizure! Mom picked me up until I felt better and has been caring me with her in my little pouch she wears around her neck. I am now feeling much better and secure and loved. I hope tomorrow will be a better day for me, mom says that as soon as I have my teeth pulled out I will feel a whole lot better! And that I will be a lot healthier. So nite nite for now as tomorrow is another big day in my world.

How I got My Name

My name is L.J. which stands for long journey, since my mom found me in a trash can about 2 years ago my life has been filled with LOVE. I have lots of medical issues, I have a jaw that wasn't formed right so my tongue hangs out all the time, I have psychological epilepsy, if I get scared or upset I sometimes have a seizure. I also am a hydro puppy, I'm handling it better now and just find my mom when I think I am going to have a seizure. I have gland issues and have had surgery once for that problem. I was also de-barked by my previous tormentors so I can only squeak (sometimes), my family thinks it's funny! I am having surgery the end of this month to remove the rest of my teeth cause they make me sick from infection in my gums, my mom says that I will just get spoiled even more with special food. My family says I am such a special little guy and yes I AM VERY SPOILED, and I know it.

So my family named me LONG JOURNEY, which I have had so far, but I am so much stronger and happier than before my mom found me. There have been people who told my mom I should just be put to sleep, due to all of my problems and when she hears those words I get picked up,I get a big kiss on the head and we go and search for better people to help me feel my best.
