My pal Winnie tagged me! Winnie told 7 things about herself so I'll tell 7 things about myself. Then I will tag 7 pups! Seven is a lucky number for sure!
1 - I was born on December 15, 2005.
2 - I come from Lethbridge, Canada. Mom and dad drove 8 hours to pick me up and they had all my brothers and sisters with them....well, all but Hershey. I was known by my breeder as "purple boy." Mom had spent a year researching standard poodle breeders since Sonja's retired. Seransil's Standard Poodles had the breeding philosophy mom liked so she contacted them and told them what she was looking for...had to have harmony in the home...well rounded parents (conformation, agility, therapy, fly ball, etc) and had done genetic testing done for the sire and dam...plus, only a hand full of dogs were kept by the breeder and she has co-ownership with others for a very healthy breeding stock. I came into our home at age 8 weeks just like I always belonged...no whining or crying even on the first night away from my poodle mom. I'm a happy relaxed watchful guy.
3 - I have a healthy appetite. After I'm done with my food bowl...I like to make sure everfur else finished theirs...if they didn't ... I clean it up for them. I have a VERY soft mouth. Mom says I could take a grain of rice from a child's finger tips and never touch skin ;->
4 - I am a diligent watch dog. I keep an eye on the entire neighborhood from the back porch. I can sit there for hours just quietly watching...be it rain, sleet, snow or hail...if mom let me. Our porch is covered so I don't understand why she won't let me stay out in bad weather.
5 - I'm a quiet fellow unless someone knocks on the door or a stranger acts odd. I will protect my mom and my furblings.
6 - We hike almost daily and I love it. So many cool smells...and sometimes things to chase...like rabbits, voles, deer, geese, fox. Mom saw a badger once and ran off in the opposite direction so we would follow her and not see it. It was a close call. Sonja and I also like to play tug-o-war with Hershey (BOL).
7 - We don't have a dog park here...but there are lots of trails just 5 minutes from our house. Dogs are allowed off leash on county trails...but not in the city.
Opps...I forgot to get a list of furiends to tag...better go do that now.
Well, I did it...I passed my CGC test! Oooooowwwwww! Now I get to take Foundation Agility class in March. I'm very excited about that cause Sonja and Sumo always get to play...now i'll be in there too practicing. Moms going to run me...she runs Sumo...dad runs Sonja and when Hershey is ready...dad will run him. Miss Scarlett will cheer us from the sidelines.
I am the ever vigilant watchdog in my pack. I'm a large male and I let outsiders know I will protect my pack. I'm also kinda goofy...my mom calls me Kramer sometimes because I enter rooms...just like Kramer... from Seinfeld. It's my thing. I'm working on my Canine Good Citizen (CGC) so I can start in Agility this spring. Oh yeah, I'm a Kanook...yep, all the way from Canada. That's why bad weather really doesn't bother me. Don't get me wrong...I love to nap on the love seat next to the fire place...next best thing to hiking.
