My brother Buddy had surgery today. He ruptured his ACL and Dr. Carlsen went in to repair it. He now has a synthetic ligament that will never tear but has a quite a bit of recovery ahead of him. He has to wear a special bandage until his staples come out and then he will have to go through therapy much like Tiny Tim's while he stretches out the leg and learns to trust it again. Tonight he is resting and we are taking good care of him. Keep my brother Buddy in your thoughts.
Well Pup Pals my Howl-i-day Pawty at the Healthy Spot was a huge success! There were so many people and pups. Peanut and I arrived early to help with set up. We met up with Gidget and Lucy for a bowl of water and enticed shoppers to stay for the furstivities. Uncle Rad brought Tiny Tim and Vito at the start of the pawty and I got to give them kissies before being whisked away to start my greetings. My pals Preston and Andrew, with their mommies Laura and Laurie (you may remember them from a little show called Greatest American Dog) showed up and then the pawty really got going! We had vendors and food and treats and then Mama and I got up and spoke about all the good work Best Friends does. After out moment in the spot light, we introduced Laura and Pres and Laurie and Andrew. The helped us give out raffle prizes and then they told the crowd about the Pawtastics - they're super cool new therapy group program! As the pawty ended, our guests picked up their goody bags and off they went hopefully feeling good that they helped rescue animals. After all that excitement, I passed out on the car ride home with Uncle Rad. Mama got home much later after clean up and we all got in bed and stayed there...bol.
Well pals the big event is almost here! On Saturday Gidgie and I will put on our holiday finest and host our Howl-i-day Pawty to Benefit Best Friends LA! We've been working hard, collecting raffle and silent auctions items, treat testing for the goody bags and decorating for the big event!
