Bio:
Bamboo is typical adolescent Shiba boy! He is a bundle of energy and expects everyone to play with him. His family had to give him up because they did not have the room or time to care for him after having a new baby. Bamboo was raised as an only dog. He prefers human companionship to dogs and thus would do best as being places in a home where he can continue being the only (spoiled) dog. Bamboo was also raised with young children in the home. He can be a bit rambunctious when he plays so we would prefer to place him in a home with dog-savvy children over the age of 10. Like most adolescent Shibas, Bamboo has energy to spare. His forever family will need to have a securely fenced yard for him to run around in. Otherwise his family will need to commit to taking him on big walks. Bamboo has had some basic obedience training but he still pulls on the leash when he is excited. We are working on this but his forever family must commit to taking him to positive based obedience classes, not only for his leash manners but to help with the bonding process as well. Bamboo will make an excellent jogging buddy, lure courser, obedience/agility dog, and just overall companion. He is eager to please and is very affectionate and endearing! Bamboo will be very devoted to his forever family. Typical of Shibas he can be aloof with new people, but once he warms up he is very loving. He is ready and waiting for his forever family to find him!
