Bio:
Renji is a happy-go-lucky Shiba boy! He loves everyone he meets and expects them to love and play with him in return. His family had to give him up because they did not have the room or funds to care for him properly. Renji was raised with another Shiba and has been very well socialized with other dogs. He is very playful but not rough. He would do best if placed in a home with another friendly and playful dog of any age, size or gender. Renji was also raised with young children in the home and is very gentle with them. We will consider placing him in a home with dog-savvy children. Like most adolescent Shibas, Renji has energy to spare. His forever family will need to have a securely fenced yard for him to run around in. Otherwise his family will need to commit to taking him on big walks. Renji has had some basic obedience training but he still pulls a bit on the leash when he is excited. We are working on this but his forever family must commit to taking him to positive based obedience classes, not only for his leash manners but to help with the bonding process as well. Renji will make an excellent jogging buddy, lure courser, obedience/agility dog, and just overall companion. He is eager to please and is very affectionate and endearing! This boy is such a joy to have around! He adapts very easily to new situations and just wants to be loved and played with. He will be a great addition to someone's family!
