Yesterday at the Animal shelter I was positive that I have brought in two yellow labs and today when I looked them up on their website it was a Mastiff Mix. Guess I should study my breeds a little better

Yellow Labs

Tucker went to work with dad today and missed all the excitement we had at home this afternoon. He's going to be heartbroken when he founds out that his bestfriend Tipper stayed home to play with him and that mommy found two beautiful yellow labs in the driveway when she came home for lunch.

I struggled with the decision as to whether or not I should just put them in the backyard and search the neighborhoon for their owners or just call animal control. I ended up doing both. After spending a good half hour going up and down the street I couldn't find anyone who knew who they belonged to and I was affraid to leave them loose on a street where school was just about to be let out. It took me a while but I finally got both dogs loaded up in the back of my camery and off to the pound we went. It was my first trip to the pound and it was heartbreaking for me to let them go not knowing if they would be kept together or split apart. I am disgusted by the fact that neither dog had a collar or tags and that they both seemed to be lacking in manners.

I'm still not sure I did the right thing. Part of me wants to go back and demand them back. Although I'm sure tucker would love the company I' m postive that my landlord wouldn't be happy with me.
