Today is the day

It is time and I have to go. I'm going to miss everybody and everything but rest assured that I will watch over my friends and family.

Almost Time

It's almost time for me to go. I don't know when the right time will be but I know that I have to let my humans know. I am going to miss them, I have seen how upset they get when a pet of theirs dies I don't want to make them sad by leaving. I am going miss my walks, them petting me, my toys, my walks, meeting other dogs, eating, my walks, drinking out of toilet, meeting new people, seeing my friend Moko, going for walks, giving my sis kisses, falling asleep on my sis's lap, going for a nice long walk, chasing the cats, sitting with the cats, chasing squirrels on our walks, playing hide and seek with my sis, getting the odd steak bone for being good, warning my family of strange people at the door and most of all just being with them...OH and going for walks.

I love my people.

Yesterday

Ack! I didn't post yesterday. Sorry! Just don't say the 'BD' word, please.

Yesterday was pretty cool. I got to go on two short walks, meet some new people, meet some new dogs. On our second walk my sis let go of the leash on our hidden trail and I got to walk a head of her to sniff things out. She took lots of pictures. At first it was embarrassing but then I got really into it. I think I am one fine looking mutt!

My sis even slept with me last night. I fell asleep on a blanket and she started petting me and then we both fell asleep. It was nice having her there.

The cats are being nice to me...that's scary. They must of over heard the humans. At least they aren't stealing my food and toys. I'll post again later to tell you all about today!

Gotta Live my Life

I haven't been feeling 100% myself lately. My humans picked up on this and they took me to the vet. When I first heard them talking about the horrid 'vet', I was terrified. I hate the vet. They aren't nice, some of them are scared of me and they make me wear a muzzle!! But they found a new nicer vet. He is very nice and actually likes dogs. =3

So we get there and we waited around for awhile then we went into a little room. They weighed me (123 lbs!) while we waited. Eventually the vet came in. He talked to my humans and then poked me a bit. They all talked some more but I didn't pay much attention. They mentioned heart problems and enlarged spleen and livers. What ever all that means. Finally we left and went home.

I was getting bored and was thinking about going for a walk. At the same time my Sis put my leash on. I was pretty excited thinking she had read my mind. Then we went into the van and......we went back to the vet! All in one day there was already TWO trips. We went back to the nice one though.

We took X-rays which weren't fun because they had to lift me onto the table and I had to lie down. The vet said my heart was fine but they couldn't tell about my other organs because of all of the fluid in my tummy. So we had to take more X-rays. Those one's didn't work so well either. The vet got me to lay down, my humans petted my head and kept me calm. Then the vet stuck a freaking needle in my tummy! He drew out some blood. My humans got very still and sad, so did the vet. I didn't like it at all so I listened closer. The vet thinks my spleen ruptured, that's why there was blood in my tummy. My humans weren't very happy about this. They talked to the vet a little.

I don't think I have much longer here. On Earth I mean. I wanna spend it really well. So when on my walk earlier I made sure to listen to my Sis real well. She even brought me to a 'hidden' trail. Mostly only dogs and their people use it. There was lots to smell and see. I love my humans I don't wanna leave.

Anyways thanks to ANYONE who reads my diary, I'll try and write more often.

Bonding Time!

My sis and the rest of the humans went to a wedding over the weekend. Why that is so important I don't think I will ever understand but most human things don't make sense, why should this wedding-thing be any different? Anyways the neighbours owner came over to check on me, feed me and let me so it was nice. I was so happy to see my people when they came back though!

Today I spent the whole day with my sis. First we played the ultimate game of tug-o-war, fetch and hide'n'seek game. We made up that game when I was like two years old. I bring her my toy, we play tug-o-war with it until she wins (I always let her) and then she throws it. While I fetch it she goes and hides somewhere, then I have to look for her so we can start back with the tug-of-war.

Afterthat my sis and me spent an hour just cuddling. I fell asleep on her lap (yeah she can stand my 100+ weight) while she pet me and read aloud from the Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's soul. She always reads the sad ones to herself because I don't like to hear them. My favourites are the ones that tell about dogs who helped their humans.

Next we went for a walk around the neighbourhood and she finally let me show her a trail that I had scented out last week. She didn't even know it was there! It was too icy to go very far because of the icy hills but in the spring we are soooooo exploring it farther! We saw two rabbits while on the trail too!

I just got home and I wanted to write in my diary before taking a snooze. Thanks for reading!

Brrr

It was extra cold today! Not that I minded one bit! It's nice having a thick fur coat, all though I can't wait to shed this winter coat I think the spring collection will look great this year. My sis however being a human doesn't have much fur (for a tennis ball's sake why do humans not have fur?!) and she got frost bite! That's what she gets for not wearing her silly gloves. Besides that walks have been great lately. I met some new dogs including one hawt husky!

Mommy is trying to teach me this trick where she throws my fetching toys and then actually makes me /stay/ instead of running off to get them right away! It can be so frustrating but if my friend Moko can blow bubbles in water then I can *shudders* stay before fetching. I was trying really hard and I am pretty much able to control that urge to RUN!

I really want another play date with Moko but our humans are just too busy to actually get their schedules together. *sighs* I can't wait til the summer!

Lotsa a Dogs!

I went for a great winter walk with my buddy, Moko! My sis let me off leash to! I was very good, never went too far and always came when she called! Moko was fun to play with. We wrestled and chased each other and sniffed so many neat things! Then later near the beach we met two dobermans! Their names were Zana(I think) and Zeus!!! They were as big as me, it was really cool! We played at the beach while my sis and their humans talked for a bit. Then three more dogs came in! There was a black shepard named King, I didn't like him very much he was kind of mean. There was a bichon freese(I think) named Hurcules, he mostly played with Moko. And then there was Thunder! He could jump really high and was lots of fun! Not only did I make doggie friends but I also made some human friends to!! I hope we can see them again that was fun!! I am tired now so I am going to go to ............. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Let is Snow!

It's snowing, it's snowing, it's SNOWING!! Can you believe it...snow! Snow is the greatest thing on the planet other then walks, or tennis balls, or food, or my people, or my friend Moko!! My sis says the husky in me really shines while I play in the snow. I don't care about the cold my fur coat keeps me uber warm!

My sis has been playing in the backyard with me most of the day and she says that we are going for a walk later!! We were going to go with Moko and his Mommy but they are training to do agility...lucky duck! (good luck guys). But still a walk in the snow with my favourite person (shh don't tell the other humans) is just the awesome!

Well I am off to go play in the snow some more! See ya!

New friend!

Today I went out to meet Moko with my sister(human sister). He was so itty bitty, well compared to me he was. Moko is my border collie puppy friend from now on. He is pretty shy around other dogs but once he got used to me being there he didn't seem to mind. His Mommy brought some hot dog and dog kibble and the hot dog was the best.

After laying around for a bit we went and explored the park and then we went to a different park where we took a break and sat in the gondalla-thingy (well it's a weird human word how am I supposed to spell it?) BOL. Moko hid a little bit but he came around once in a while to see what I was doing.

Then we went to Moko's house and played in the back yard. I tried to show him how to use the sprinkler but he just didn't get it. But what can you do, puppies have no patience to watch us proffesional dogs at work.

Moko sometimes got scared if I walked up to him and we had a little dissagreement but then we said sorry. I think we left on a positive note though and I hope we can meet again soon! When we got back home I was pretty tired so after a drink I took a nice long nap.

So a diary you say?

My sister (as I call my fav. human) has convinced me to start a diary on dogster. I think it will be fun or at least that is what my sis tells me. I suppose I shall tell everyone a little bit about myself before I get started on this diary thing. I am six years old and I was born on May 31 2002. I am a german shepherd, husky and golden retriever mix. My name is Blue because of my blue eyes that, as my sister would describe, are stunning beyond belief. I love going for walks and getting attention from my sister and the rest of my family.

Today I had a good brushing which I always need as I constantly shed. It felt so good my sister can work that brush very well.

I was told that tomorrow on our walk we would be meeting a new friend. His name is Moko and he is a puppy. I have to be on my bestest behaviour because Moko is very shy around dogs. That shouldn't be a problem I don't mind new friends one bit! I will tell you all about it tomorrow.
