Arrival Story: We are fostering a female Cocker Spaniel, who is 3 years old. She has a beautiful red/gold and white patched coat with cute freckles around her face. She has the longest eyelashes I have ever seen on a dog. She is a bit smaller then a normal sized Cocker Spaniel. It just makes her a great lap cuddlier. She needs a home where there is some one home most of the time. Though her family did say she does well in the house with out anyone there. She just doesn't like it when they leave. The ideal home for her would have energetic kiddos to play with her and a fenced back yard. Or some one who likes to take walks with their favorite pet at their side. Gets along great with other dogs and children (cats unknown). She is a "needy" dog and craves a lot of attention and interaction. She would not do well in a home where she would be left alone for long days like 9 to 10 hours a day. She longs to be with her master whether it is cuddling up on their lap or playing tug. She is truly a sweet dog. She is spade and she is current on shots and attended puppy training classes and knows a few commands. She is housebroke and needs no crate, she can be trusted in the house alone.
So please if you feel you can offer her a good home, open your hearts to this sweetheart of a girl. To the person who does adopted her, their is an adoption fee and an adoption agreement to sign. You must have a reference from a vet or from a personal reference, such as some one you have pet sat for. The pictures of her below are of her back in Sept. She has lossed one of her ear flaps. The owners daughter liked to put her ears up in Ponytails, and forgot one in. The ear flap died and fell off, she is ok now. It doesn't even look as bad as it sounds. Freckles just needs a good home where these things are watched over. Kids are great to have around the dogs, but you need to supervise their play with them. Please give this little girl a chance at a new loving home and life.

Freckles has just gotten to our home, and is learning to settle in with all her doggy friends. She did try and pick a fight with our Pom foster boy. But it all settled down after they got to know each other. She is doing a lot better then I had hoped and the ear is not as bad as it sounded. You can see that by the pictures on this site. When I spoke with her owners, they said she actually does ok with some one not being there all day. Though she does make a little fuss about it. She will cry for a little while but settles down after she finds no one is going to come back. If you know Cockers, they can be a bit stubborn, but she isn't stupid by any means either. She gets along great with kids which is a good thing for a Cocker. Her owner has a niece who comes over all the time, who is 3 years old. And she would play with Freckles all the time. One time she grabbed her collar and tugged her into Freckles crate, and closed the door. So they could play inside the crate together. Freckles didn't hurt the little girl at all, she just kept smiling that doggy smile. LOL I hope to find her a home soon, so she doesn't have to deal with this transition for long, and she can settle into her new home. I will up date this later, when I have more to put down.
