Dumpling, her Daddy, and I visited "Bonejour" on Sunday. Bonejour is a wonderful pet boutique in Edina, Minnesota that has tons of adorable pet apparel, accessories, and all manner of fun things. Dumpling got some "Dog Smog Remedy" (a breath freshener and digestive solution from Happytails, my favorite dog grooming product company), pajamas, a bathrobe, a new collar, and two Valentine's-themed outfits. We also got her a brush and a carrying-purse at PetSmart. I then took her to the mall, and she was a very good girl, staying in her purse and not whining much at all. Only a couple people noticed she was even there, and no one told us we couldn't have a dog inside.

Overall, she had a very good weekend, except for the fact that she pooped in her Daddy's room three times. We're still working on the potty-training. I think it's coming along better now that I've started giving her treats when she uses the bathroom outside. Today she let me know a number of times before she needed to go so that I knew to take her out.

Ouchie.

Dumpling had a vet check-up today. They gave her two shots: her rabies vaccine and a distemper booster. She was a very good girl and only whimpered a little. She's been a little tuckered out from the experience, so I'm letting her nap. Later today or tomorrow, her Daddy is taking us to a dog boutique and we'll see if we can't find some fun little goodies for her. I'm in the market for a dog-carrier purse type-thing, especially, so I can take her around more places with me.

Dumpling came to live with me on January 20th, 2008. She was born on November 15th, 2007, making her a little less than three months old. Dumpling is a Pomeranian/Toy Poodle mix (a Pom-poo). I found her at a pet-store in Blaine, Minnesota and couldn't leave without her. Her Daddy bought her for me on the spot.

We are still working on Dumpling's house-training, but that is partly because, I think, her bladder is so small that she has trouble controlling it. Either way, we'll persevere.

Tonight Dumpling and I will be going over to her Daddy's apartment for the weekend. Dumpling likes Daddy's apartment because it's almost all carpeted, which makes playing easier to do without slipping. And of course, it's nice because Daddy is there.
