As i sit here at the rainbow bridge i can see my family. They are very sad because another one of their dogs has died. Jake drowned in a neighbors pond. Oh, this is soooo sad*sniff* Ive gotta go.

We Miss you!!!

On March 11, 2008 Penny was hit by a car and killed. Her family misses her greatly.

I once ran
But now I fly
Over the rainbow
Through the sky.

At the Golden Gates
I run and Play

The Miracle!

A narrative by Daisy’s mom.
On Friday Penny’s grandma heard shouting outside so she looked out the window and saw two Mexican men and a blue mini van chasing and yelling at a black dog. She thought that the men were only trying to catch their dog.

She watched the men get into their van and pursue the dog down the neighbors driveway. The man caught the dog, drugged her, picked her up by her LEGS, dumped her in the minivan and drove away.

Later that night Penny’s family was looking for her so they called their grandma up and asked her if she had seen Penny. She told them what she had seen and they knew it had to be Penny. The grandma called the sheriff and they filled a missing dog report.

The next day they continued their search inquiring at the neighbors and them they went to the Humane Society to see if anyone had dropped her off there. The pound was closed but as they were leaving a man came to drop off two Beagle mix puppies. They decided to take them agreeing that if Penny came home, which they highly doubted that they would get rid of the puppies.

I went over to their house after that and we played with the puppies for about 3 hours. We then went inside and not 10 minutes later their little boy ran in and shouted, “Penny’s back! Penny came home!” We didn’t believe him, but we went outside there she was, wet, muddy, exhausted, and half-starved. We couldn’t believe our eyes! We gave her some food and then let her rest checking her periodically.

We talked to their vet friend and she thinks that Penny was going to be used for dog fighting. The men even cut the hair on her face to make her look different! Penny came home but she was dehydrated(her eyes were dilated) and she was extremely skittish and she kept cowering down to the ground. They are not sure what they are going to do with the puppies but they are just so thankful that God brought Penny home safely.

Miracle 1: Every morning Penny’s mom says “St. Francis, Patron of Animals, Pray for Penny. The day that Penny was stolen she forget to say the prayer. The next morning though she said the prayer and Penny came home later.

Miracle 2: The day after Penny disappeared her mommy picked up a prayer and opened it and the page that she opened it up to was titled , “Prayers for Lost Pets!” Now isn’t that something?! It just shows you that God works in mysterious ways!!!

Stolen!!!!!

I have some very sad news. The other day I learned that Penny had been stolen. Here is what happened. Penny’s house is set back behind trees and her grandma lives in a house at the top of their driveway. Yesterday Penny’s grandma heard a man yelling so she looked out the window and saw a man yelling at Penny and chasing her. The man followed her in a blue mini van down a neighbors driveway. The man then cornered Penny and caught her. He put her in his van and drove away with her.

Her family is very upset. They filled a missing dog report at the police station and are going to ask the neighbors if they saw her and then are going to look at the pound.
