Arrival Story:
My son Donald works with a mother and daughter who had a litter of 2 pups that needed homes and offered one to my son. He brought home the first one (Shadow) and later was given Tippy when her new home fell through. Tippy is darker than Shadow. She has a tip of white on the end of her tail (also, my parents had a dog named Tippy, she was 17 or 18 when she passed on).
Bio:
Tippy is the more dominant of the two dogs. She seems to have more German Shepherd in her, while Shadow has more Lab. Her mom was a 90 pound Lab and her dad a 100 pound German Shepherd. Tippy tips the scales at 51 pounds, hopefully that is where she will stay.

October's Party

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came—
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.
The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.
Then, in the rustic hollow,
At hide-and-seek they played,
The party closed at sundown,
And everybody stayed.
Professor Wind played louder;
They flew along the ground;
And then the party ended
In jolly "hands around."

Thanksgiving Delights
On Thanksgiving Day we’re thankful for
