Arrival Story:
My son Donald works with a mother and daughter who were overrun with dogs (they cannot say no to a stray). They had a litter of 2 pups and offered one of them to my son. Donald named her Shadow. A week later he brought her sister home (her new home had fallen through) and named her Tippie.
Bio:
Shadow's mom is a Lab and her dad is a German Shepherd. They are 90 and 100 pound dogs. Right now Shadow is holding at 50 lbs (at her rabies vac/checkup) and I hope she stays there.

What a wonderful surprise. When Mom made it home, I had a rose from the Kirk Family saying Congratulations!! Mom checked and there I was on the home page!! I am Diary of the Day!! The first time I have EVER received an honor like this. I also have a special picture that Redford and his Sweet family made for me!!
I feel like a princess floating on a cloud right now!! Thanks Mom for the extra treats!!

October's Party

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came—
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.
The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.
Then, in the rustic hollow,
At hide-and-seek they played,
The party closed at sundown,
And everybody stayed.
Professor Wind played louder;
They flew along the ground;
And then the party ended
In jolly "hands around."
