October's Party

October's Party

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came—
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.

Then, in the rustic hollow,
At hide-and-seek they played,
The party closed at sundown,
And everybody stayed.
Professor Wind played louder;
They flew along the ground;
And then the party ended
In jolly "hands around."

Happy "16th" Birthday Sweetie

Today you would have been 16 and Sweet 16 it would have been; for you were one very Sweet Doggie.

Were you surprised to see Belle come to the Bridge yesterday? Of course you would have already known to welcome her. I know you have been watching over your little fur ones. Belle still looks like she did when you left us almost 6 years ago. More gray on her face; but the same sweet smile that shook her body, like yours always shook your body. Belle was so much like you. She adored your Boy Donald too and he was with her yesterday, as he was with you, to help Belle cross over.

We know she will help you celebrate today. Have a Heavenly Birthday Lovely Simba.

Rainbow Bridge Day

Sweet Simba you were in our thoughts and hearts as Donald and I released your balloon today. I can still see how you would bounce and smile whenever Donald came into view. You were his Sweetie and will always be. I know you are waiting for him, when you see him coming, how you will bounce and smile as you race toward him. Until that day, know that he sends his love, as do I, with each balloon that comes your way.
