Arrival Story:
We had lost our awesome Golden Retriever after 14 yrs, Rusty.
About a yr later my daughter showed up with this white Bulldog puppy for us. She had bought it as a gift. I thought it was about the ugliest thing I had ever seen, and basically said so. It was the furtheriest thing from a Golden Retriever I could think of. She had this "Brain Storm" that we would have a English Bulldog buisness. She would have the boy and I would have the girl.
So, ok..we are retired, I thought, ok. We will try this. So, we named her BABE cause PawPaw thought she looked like the pig out of the movie BABE.
Bio:
BABE is the perfect name for this dog. She does look like a pig and she snorts like a pig and wallers in the water and mud just like a pig. If we are watering the grass she is in the water! And comes to the slider door eeking with goo...mud from eyes to tail..and I have to drop everything for a bath.
But....after a year...now...she is so worth it!
Anyone who knows the bulldog will tell you how loving, how adorable, how faithful they are to you. They know what time of the day it is, what is going to happen next .
English Bulldogs are excellent with children, that is so important to us as we have lots of grandkids, I have lost count !

I got tagged by a cat of all things! Flora Cat!
So, this rules are.
I tell seven things about myself here and I ask 7 new dogs to come check me out. Then, they do the same to 7 of their pals !
So, here I go.
1. I am scared to death of Mr HOOVER .
2. I am an identical twin, my brother is Beethovan Symphony & I do
get to see him now and then.
3. I love my doggie Mom to cook those big pots of chicken on the stove where the aroma permiates all throughout the house.
4. I'm in love with Robinson Crusoe who lives here ..but..I am also in love with our neighbor's dog , Uncle Henry...
5. I sleep under my Mom's bed. I snore and have gas~you can hear her throughout the night ...."BABE! You are not eating tomorrow!."
6. I like my big belly rubbed a lot, that's how I got my name...BABE, for the pig movie.
7. I don't mind Walter The Cat watching from the toilet seat while I take a bath.

Then, there is Emma, oh and Cooper, majestic Great Dane , 100 pds from San Francisco,
oh, now there is Beautiful Lexus from Texas! Deigo, The Boxer who is awesome, and Rufus Bean & Lily both Bull Terriors, little beautiies and last but not least is Cagney, a magnificient brown Border Collie !

BABE is 3 months old & almost housetrained. If we do our part, she does hers. She is amazing...very smart, extremely loving!
It's actually pretty hard to stay in contact with our Dogster friends & be in groups at this age. I am usually sitting in a chair holding her, teaching her, talking to her, or outside with her. This is a busy age and then at night she sleeps in a little cage now beside the bed. She accepts this fine. We never ever put her in the cage just to keep her caged in the day. Only at night and she sleeps all night almost. Someone takes her out at about midnight & 4 AM...we all take turns.
BABE eats 3 times a day & I keep her fresh water all day. She loves ice cubes...she puts her paws in the bowl & gets them out & plays with them one at a time...sometimes she even puts one or two back in the bowl.
Another very intelligent game she plays is she has this bone 'squeaking toy' and she used it to communicate...she will sit & squeak it constantly & almost talk to us...!
And then there is the cat who did not like her at first. It took awhile to get this cat to be her friend but they are friends now. She did it I think by kind of crying at the cat when the cat was on the top of the recliner and wouldnt play with her. She kind of made a crying sound & Bitsy came down off the recliner & gave her run for her money & did not try to scratch her at all. BABE is older & bigger now so Bitsy does run from her if BABE is serious with her. BABE has become the head of the pet family in our house.
BABE sees her brother Beethovan Symphony all the time who looks just like her. She also sees her fiance Robinson Crusoe who belongs to Julie, our daughter. And...And, she has a best friend, a English Bulldog named Miss Molly Mae Rinkles who is a brindle colored beautiful belle.
So, all is great with our BABE! She has toys and more toys..blankets & beds & her kitty housemate Bitsy & grandkids who she adores & her.
BABE is healthy, happy & adorable!
