Arrival Story:
I was a shelter dog in the next county north of here. I was about 3 months old when my Mom first saw me and the only dog NOT barking in the entire shelter. Mom convinced Dad that I was the ONE! The young people at the shelter named me Spanky for the spot over my eye. My Mom said they were too young to know that it was the kid in Little Rascals that was named Spanky, not the dog. That was Petey! Anyway, Mom and Dad let my name stick and I went home and lived with my new buddy Roman, the Pit Bull/Boxer mix dog. We were great buddies but when Roman went to Doggy Heaven I was an ONLY Dog for about 7 years until I got sick and Mom and Dad brought me a new friend named Bailey. She was only 5 weeks old and Mom and Dad said she was MY Puppy. I fell in LOVE with her and we became great friends. I had other playmates most of my life....Roxy, Heartley, Sisko, Buddy, Dakoda....my beloved "cousins".

Bio:
When I was barely 9 years old I was diagnosed with severe Spondylosis. That's like hip displaysia only it affected my spine from my neck to my tail. That was in Dec. 2007 and by August 2008 it was time for me to leave my earth home for a better one in Doggy Heaven where I wouldn't have any more pain. I know my Mom and Dad will always love me as I was VERY special to them!
