Arrival Story:
Tonka was part of litter, dumped at a rural shelter in KY, at only 7 weeks of age! Tonka made the trip to the NorthEast into Rogers' Rescues foster dog program in hopes of finding a perfect family who will never "dump" her again!

Bio:
Tonka is such a love love lover! A power cuddler! She is smart and happy and playful and has the most expressive face you've ever seen. She seems to be a shepherd mix, maybe mixed with Rottweiler? Hound? Who knows! Either way, she's just too cute. She's about 21 weeks old as of 3/22/08 and about 31 lbs. She'll likely be a medium to larger dog once fully grown. She adores people and likes to cuddle with the other dogs in foster care. She is doing great with crate and house training as well. All she needs now is a family that cares enough to teach her all the good things a pup needs to know and to promise to cuddle and love her for the rest of her long life. Homes with other dogs will be HIGHLY CONSIDERED as Tonka just has such fun playing with other dogs. She can get even the grouchiest of dogs to play with her.
