Arrival Story: We waited and waited for Chelsies mom, a chug (pug/chihuahua) to breed with her partner, a pug... When we had almost given up hope we found out that she was pregnant! For 7 weeks we would drive out to see the litter and pick out our Chelsie, and take pictures and videos to hold us over until our next visit. Then it was finally time to take little Chelsie home! Weve been waiting so long! Love you Chelsie!
Bio: After a devastating day in March, 2007 we lost our beloved 3 year old pug, Indy-Anna. Our next pug, Dodge, worked to fill the void in our hearts and lives with a new set of googly eyes. Well he became a member of our family immediately, and good friends of Meeka, our beagle, and Dillon, our greyhound. But when I left for college I could not take him from his family. Id sit in my house and look through pictures of Dodge and Indy and wish I had a pug to keep my lap warm. Now, finally, I have Chelsie. I have a strange feeling that she is part of my Indy, reborn again.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
Last night was the scariest night of my life. Mommy said it was the scariest night of her life too. Let me start my story yesterday. I was outside eatin some stuffs. I remember feelin sick and throwing up everythings in my stomach but I still felt sick so I decided to take a nice long nap.
When mommy got home from her studies I came over to say hi to her like always but I wasnt myself. I kept falling over and losing my balance. At first she thought I was still sleepies but then I sat down and just started swayin back an forth where I was sittin. Mommy says I was drooling and not looking at her right either so she grabbed me and my leash and ran me to the car. We have never left in such a hurry.
We stopped at a vets office and they took my tempyture (you dont wanna know how they did it either) and says to mommy that its low. They musta told mommy something else 'cause next thing I know were back in the car. It was a long ride and I kept fallin asleep then wakin up then fallin asleep again. The whole ride mommy was on her phone callin peoples and crying. She kept saying, "Hang in there baby, we will get you better".
Finally we got to another vets office and the doctor listened to my lungs and belly and make me walk some more, an I kept fallin to the side and losing balance. She said I looked drunk! Then the most horriblest thing happened.... the doctor took me from my mommy.
Mommy doesnt know this but the worst parts happened after she left. The doctor stuck needles in my legs an they taped em there and wouldnt let me take em out. Some of the needles took my blood away from me and other needles were putting water into my body! I was at this scary place all night long and mommy kept calling all night to check on me. (We arent used to sleeping apart, we normally cuddle!). Well I knew I had to do something to get away from this place so I tried to make the peoples happy. When they took me outside I tried to walk as straight as I could and I made poopies for them and they liked it! I made sure that they told mommy about the poopies on the phone.
Well just as I was thinkin I was gonna end up a hotdog things got better. In the morning they made me chicken for breakfast! And then the bestest thing happened... mommy came back! We were so happy to see each other. I said, "Mommy look! They shaved off my furs on my leg.... an an and they stuck needles in me! Look! You can see blood on my furs that are left!" Mommy felt really bad so she bought me a new toy and a new collar today and washed my legs clean when we got home. So I think Im all better but theres good news and bad news... the good news is mommy HAS to feed me boiled chicken, rice, and cottage cheese for 2 whole weeks!!! The bad news is no more eatin strange plants or mushrooms in the yard :(
Big news world! If you are from the north like me (Ohio), then you can join me in saying today was a beautiful break from the frigid past few months. Well mommy kept her eye on the weather and since today was the only warm one for quite some time, she made big plans behind my back.
Mommy came home from the park or the vet (or wherever she goes) and let me out of my crate. BUT instead of taking me to my puppy potty pad by the door, she put on my harness that I just learned to walk in, without my sweater, and took me OUTSIDE! There we were... me and mommy and Dillon and Dodge and Meeka! Im a big dog!
Then I realized... I still hadnt gone potty, and I had been in my crate all morning. I looked around and didnt see any puppy pads. I didnt wanna disappoint mommy but I had to go, so I did, right in the grass. But mommy didnt yell at me! She said GOOD GIRL, GOOD GIRL, GOOD GIRL!! Yay! Im allowed to go potty outside! I think Im onto something... and mommy says shes proud of me :)
Mommy says that I am growing up. My legs are getting long and my tail is getting curlier and my feets are getting bigger! Now I always eat every bite in my dish... mommy calls me a pig. I thought I was a pug! Or was it chug?
Well anywhow, now that Im becoming a big girl mommy isnt so darn worried about me, so she lets me play with the big dogs. I play chase with Dodge and Dakota (mommys brother has a puggle named Dakota). I play attack with Meeka and her big ears and long tail are perfect to chew on but mommy yells at me. Sometime I bark at Dillon too and jump in his bed to get him to play but mommy says no!
Every 5 minutes whether I am sleeping or playing or eating, there is a flash and mommy says, "awe what a cute picture!" There must be at least 349,811,672 of these pictures!!! Mommy says its because Im growing so fast and she wants to remembr every minute!
