Bio: Maya is very energetic and friendly. She is friendly with strangers. Maya really loves kids and has fallen in love with another volunteers 5 year old girl. She would probably do well as a work-out partner or in agility sports too. May is VERY smart. She has already learned "sit", "shake", "down" and "play dead" in only a couple weeks at her new foster home!!.
Maya would like to be the alpha dog and will growl at the other dogs, but will stop when verbally corrected. She needs a strong pack leader to let her know that she is not in charge. We think she would really do best in a home with an older submissive dog or being the only dog.
She is approximately 1 and a half years old, spayed, up to date on shots and crate trained (and has done fine when left out in the house alone as well).
