Ace a comes a calling...........

Thankful for Passing my CGC!

Wow, it is Thanksgiving Day and my Mistress and I are particularly thankful for my passing my Canine Good Citizen Test on November 9, 2008. My Mistress she was really nervous but she sat down and looked me in the eye and had a heart to heart talk with me before I went into the ring. She said she knew I could pass the test and she was proud of me either way and that she loved me. I was inspired and love shown back to her through my warm brown eyes. I knew that no matter what she would smile and hug me and love me and that I didn't need a CGC for her to be proud of me, but I also knew that I was smart and I could pass this test with her as my leader. Well we were first in the ring that day, an awesome responsibility to be number 1, but she told me I was number 1 in her book anyway. The judges were so complimentary of my beautiful coat and grooming. They loved how I let them touch and groom me. My mistress she beamed and it warmed my heart to see her so happy. I knew she was concerned that I would go down and stay down for the time it took her to walk 20 feet on a long lead and return to me but I stayed and I watched and I didn't move a muscle until she came back and walked around me. Then she walked out the 10 feet for the recall and I got a little confused and started to get up, but she set me back down and I knew then what I had to do, I had to wait until she called me and I waited and I watched her with this warm brown eyes that are adoring of my mistress. She went out the 10 feet and called me and I came a running and sat right in front of her. Oh did I get loves and pats and warm hugs and I basked in the limelight. Then we walked through the crowd and the people making lots of noises and that didn't phase me because my Mistress she was right there beside me leading me all the way. Oh she is so good to be with and I love her! The last part of her leaving me was no problem because I knew she would never leave me for good and that it would be a short time before she came back and sure enough out I came and I PASSED the CGC. Not all the dogs passed the test that day. Our friend from obiedience training, Sadie the Mastif did not pass and we were disappointed for her and her Mistress but they will try again and with practice I know Sadie can pass the CGC, just like ME!

By the way tomorrow Bert my Dad and I get a Christmas photo taken by our Master. We have little red and white collars to wear and we were just groomed yesterday so we look so pretty. A new photo of us will be up soon!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We will have lots of family over today and will run and play and have a great turkey day.

Yummy Carpet

I had a great night last night. My mistress and master left Bert and I home and went out to dinner with some friends last night. Well you know I am still a pup and I like to explore and chew so I started in the hallway and was able to pull up the carpet in the hall! Yep I did it alright and I didn't want Bert to help me, I wanted to do it all by myself! Well not only did I pull the carpet up on one door way I did it to two door ways and down the hall, then I pulled the capet back where they had pieced it together and I exposed the foam padding. I had a ball. I even chewed some of the carpet so I could make carpet rags. Yep it was fun. When my mistress came in she just looked and said well we will go and see if we can replace the carpet in the hallway. She thought it was a tad dirty after my handiwork! My master said they will have to create me when they go out so I can be comfortable as I must have anxiety when they are gone. I love them, they never yelled at me or hit me they just took it in stride. My mistress is going to set me up for obedience training when school starts again in September. She and I will have fun. I am so smart I can learn anything! Even how to pull up carpet :) Yum Yum it was good tasteing too!

Wow What a Find-Leather Birkenstocks!

Well I have decided that leather is right up my taste bud alley. My mistress was washing her rubber flip flops which I really love to chew on when she isn't looking and so she searched around and found her old leather Birkenstocks to wear while the flip flops were drying. She was flopping around in them and I saw LEATHER! I watched her every move and when she slipped them under the bed while she was in the shower I eye balled them big time. While I knew she was otherwise engaged I pulled one out and moved it to another room just to see if she would notice one was gone. If she noticed I would act all innocent and blame it on the old dog Fritz who she adores and never even gives a cross look to. Well she never realized I had the sandal and off she went to work. Now I waited until the Master was in the shower and then I went to town on the sandal. I chewed on the sides, yum yum that old leather was sooooooft and tasty. Then I found the little end pieces that came out of the buckle and I chewed them off. Then I decided to chew the middle of one of the straps and poof it broke. Now I knew I was in trouble. Before maybe the Mistress would have thought it accidentally got put through the shredder but now she will for sure know that it somehow got chewed. Well I heard the shower go off now and I am acting all innocent like. I don't even go into the same room where the sandal is but the Master goes in and sees the sandal up on the couch and he knows I am the culpret. He waits until the Mistress comes home and puts the sandals together on the floor as if nothing is wrong just to see how long it will take her to see the damage. Oh she saw the damage immediately and she knew it was me! I was waiting to hear yelling but she never yells she just smiled and said I bet it was the Ace Miester exercising his baby gums :) AWWH she loves me!
