Arrival Story:
I was seen running loose in a north San Jose neighborhood in January 2008, during one of the coldest and wettest stormy seasons the San Fran Bay Area has seen in many years. After a few days of running scared in the freezing cold, I decided to trust the nice lady who had been diligently trying to coax me with food. The cold, rain and hunger in my belly finally wore me down. The lady gave me to a friend to foster while they tried to find my owner. They scanned me for a microchip (I had none), posted ads on-line and sent out email blasts to the neighborhood association. But, alas, my owner could not be found. So now I find myself looking for a new forever home.

Bio:
I am about 1 year old, give or take a couple months. I have a short coat and am all black except for a smidgen of white on my chest. I am part Labrador Retriever and part, hmmm -- well the best guess would be part Vizsla, but who knows what other breeds might be lurking deep within my DNA? I weigh in at a svelte 40 lbs and am nicely muscled. Tennis balls are to die for - I can play with one of those green fuzzy things for hours! I am very people friendly and submissive. I like other dogs, am well socialized and am very well housebroken. And I already know some basic commands (sit, down, stay). In spite of my youth, I am a very calm pupster and love just lying at your feet while you watch TV or work at the computer. My potential for love is unlimited and, thus far, untapped - just give me a home and I'll show you what a wonderful, sweet and loving companion I can be! ********************************** ********************************** ********** Good with other dogs - dogs of similar size or larger recommended, not toy breeds. ********************************** ****** Good with children - children over 10 y.o. recommended. ********************************** *** Although he is not aggressive and shows no viciousness toward cats or small dogs, he does have an instinct to chase them and thus small dogs and/or cats are not recommended, unless introduced slowly and under careful supervision. ********************************** ******** 02-03-08 Update: Today I was adopted by the two greatest new parents a dog could ever wish for! And I have two very cool new siblings - Farley and Zoya - who look an awful lot like me: all black with big brown eyes! Yup, life is good! Thank you, Kim and Linda, for taking me into your home and hearts. Wags and licks to you!!!
