Birthday: June 15th 2006 Arrival Story: Meet our sweet little Windchill, who managed to survive freezing cold temperature (with a windchill factor below zero) without any shelter, food or water, until faith could bring her to rescue. Windchill has a lucky star.... She was found by a few kids who happened to brave the cold that day and wandered off a little farther than usual in the woods behind their house. Windchill had most likely been abandoned in those woods with another dog. Both of them were freezing and starving and about to give up hope.
Can you imagine how painfully cold it must feel like when you are starving and don't have any fat on your body to protect you? This is what poor little Windchill was going through. We don't know how much longer she would have survived, had she not been found in time. Bio: The other dog who was with her is not a Pit Bull and he has been accepted into another program for all breed pets. As for Windchill, she will never miss a meal again and never, ever, spend a night freezing to death out in the cold. She is a friendly girl who seems very comfortable with people, not shy at all, and appears very well behaved. Please CLICK HERE for more information and photos of Windchill.
