April 29th 2008 relief

Hello
I went to the vet yesterday, and I was nervous. My back was sore and I has having a hard time getting around. My humans took me to the vet, to see what could be done. Doctor Fasstiggi looked at my back and hips. He said My back was what was causing the problem. He said I have Caudea Equina Syndorme. It is pressure on my nerves. He gave me medicine, and said I could continue to go for long walks and my favorite activity running. I just love to run, and if I had to give it up I would be so sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I also can go hiking, but no climbing hills or jumping. I am so glad the vet did not give me rest. My vet does not believe in dogs not be active. According
to the vet being active than just resting. Well, I am on new medicine, and I feel so much better. I went to the dog park, and I was wild as the wind. Running with other dogs, and playing. I got to go to school tonight. Well gotta get ready for school.

April 28th 2008 nervous a bowl of jello

Hello friends
I am a bit nervous as tomorrow I have to go to doctor Fasstiggi. I have a back problem which caused me to give one of my many favorite things agility.However, I made Lemonaid out lemons. I now do rally obedience, and it fun. I enjoy class, and I do not end up feeling sore after class. I really like all the dogs in class. Doctor Fasstiggi gave me pills to help with the pain, and they do work. However, I should take them everyother day. On the days I do not take them my back hurts. It is hard for me to get up, and when I do it is hard to take the first few steps. I am hoping it is just a pulled muscle in a leg It really started to hurt bad after I climbed a hill, and went running. I would hate the doctor say I could no longer run. I love to run, and not running would be like stabbing me in the heart. There is nothing like having your ears flop in the wind while running. Your legs feel so go as you run threw the air. You feel so good after you ran. Maybe my humans will see my back is better and cancell the appointment. Paw crossed everything will get good.

April 26th Almost paradise

Hi
Boy I am so happy today. I got to go hiking and have a picnic. It was so fun.
I had the best time. The ride to the hike trail was pretty and curvy. Everything was so green. It was nice
When we got to the trail, I was so excited I was barking and my tail was wagging a million miles a minute. Everything looked good. The only think I did not like was the horses. There were a million horses out for a ride. They are so big I just know they would kill me if they stepped on me. I had to look after my mom as she is afraid of horses. We moved out of their way, but I could tell they were hoping they could stomp on me. I do have one question for my horse friends. Why can they poop all over, and not pick it up, dogs have to have their humans pick their poop up. I really do not understand the concept, but I think horse humans should pick their poop up too.
After the hike we had a picnic. We had chicken and boy was it good. I only got 1 1/2 pieces as my family did not want me to have an upset tummy. I love chicken. Thankfully no bees came to our picnic. They usually do, but today I guess they were busy at someone else picnic.

April 24th 2008 My cats do they Love me

Hi
I have been thinking do my cats love me? When I can here 7 years ago I would say they did not like me. They would run away from me, and jump on table so I could not even give them a rightful hello. They always ran from me, and would run after them, but I got in trouble. I just wanted to play. Eventually, they stopped running, and they even went up to say hello to me which makes me happy. Yes, I get beat up by both Sophie and Lucy. Sophie hits me when ever I spend time with her favorite human, and Lucy like to hit my tail. I think they are just jealous of the time I spend with the humans, and my tail is really fluffy. Yes, Sophie pushes things from the book shelve on to my head. It really is my fault as I should not sit by book shelve. Both cats have beat me up just for being home. However, they do give me Christmas, and birthday presents. They sometimes sit near me. So I guess I would say my cats love me, and I very lucky they do.

April 22 Yeah it is Earth day

Hi
Yes, today is Earth Day. I love all the plants on earth, and today I made sure that I showed my respect to them. Without them our planet would be pretty ugly. On my walk to day I took some time to look at all the flowers, trees, weeds, and grass.
In the spirit of the day I also did my part in conserving gas. I car pooled to the park with Gator and Pooh. My human and I picked them up at there house and gave them a ride. I do not mind car pooling, but I would like some respect by the other car poolers. Gator thinks just because he is big he should get most of the back seat. He lays down and stretches his body out, and I only have a portion of the back seat. I am big too, and need room. Pooh is good about sharing. He likes the front seat. He sits there and looks out the window. A lot of people wave to him, and laugh at me and gator in the back. Oh well at least we are helping the earth.

April 20th a day at the park

Hi all
Today is not to hot or cold. In fact it is just right. Today I got to go to the dog park. We gave two dog friends a ride to the park. There mom is training to do pet rescue during a disaster. She will be gone for several days.
We picked up the dogs and it was interesting. Gator who is big wanted to sit in the front sit, and I gladly let him . Pooch Bear and I sat in the back. We got a few laughs as people went by in their cars. Pooh and I in the pack, and a big dog who could barely fit in the front (what a sight we must have been)
When we finally got to the park Pooh Bear, Gator, and I got out of the car. Gator took both leashes in his mouth and walked me and Pooh Bear to the gate. Once we got in, and leash were off it was a free for all. Pooh Bear did his own thing, but Gator just followed me around. When I ran with my new friend Windy he ran, when I sat down, he sat down. The only time he left my side was when his friend Rubio, and owner came in. He love Rubio's owner. She was able to get him to play ball. However, it did not last long. Finally, it was time to go home. On the way out Gator again took Pooh and my leash in his mouth and walked us to the car. However, once at the car and door was opened he jumped in the back, pooh then jumped in the back. There was no where for me to sit. I did not want to sit in the front. However, my human picked me up and made me sit there. When we got home both Pooh and Gator were so happy. We will take them tomorrow. I hope Gator will ride in the front.

April 20th a dogs day

Hi
What a good day this dog had. I got up early and went for a long walk with one of my human sisters. It was fun as I saw Molley and Zeus. I saw some other dogs walking, but they did not want to be friends or should I say their humans did not want them to be friends. Then I played a little with my frizbee. It was fun. Later on I went for a run with my human sister. We had a good time running. We both love to run. I went and did some errands then went outside and ran and played ball with my human sister. Later today I am going on a evening walk, and I will play again. I can't forget to mention I have been practicing my rally obedience. I getting better at staying, but will work some more on that silly skill.

April 18 Making Lemonaide out of Lemons

Hello
Today was supose to be the day of the race I have been waiting for. I have been training, and looking foward to this day for weeks. It was a run for Earth Day. I love the planet Earth, and wanted to help maintain it, and make it better. If we did not have Earth where would we live. I Love Planet Earth for all the things it gives us. Well, backe to the race. I was so excited to run, my tail was going 200 miles every half minute. I was so happy, then my world crashed in. We found out no dogs were allowed. Oh how sad I felt. I wanted to do my part for the planet.
However, my human sister decided instead of running we(the rest of family) would go for a walk down one of the trails. Oh the trail was so pretty.
There were so many pretty trees and flowers. I had so much fun going down the trail. It was such a nice walk. I paid my respects to planet earth and then went home.

April 17th Abbey and her first day of dieting hard

Hello friends
I started getting my spring diet going. My human wants me to lose 5 pounds by July 1. I got up these morning an went for a nice 45 minute walk. It was fun as I saw my friend Zeus and Molly. They are doing well. Then I went home ate some wonderful food for breakfast. I did enjoy it a lot. Then I played frizbee with my human sister for awhile. Then another human sister
took me running. How fun was that. I ran for a whole hour. It felt good to have my legs exercised. At night I went for a long walk with mom. It was nice, but hot. I think I did pretty good

April 16th my adventure at school, and other stuff

Hi friends
Well, I went to my new class last night, and I had a good time. It was fun.
I met 7 new dogs. They were all so nice, and understood that I am not as advance as they are. There was one dog named Monkey and he was a terrier mix like me. It was nice to see mix dogs out having fun. He has a lot of titles, but he was down to earth.
Tonight I am going to a dog park meeting with my human sister. It might be fun as Jo and Karen always bring me treats. I know I am on a diet, but what would life be without snacks. I love my snacks, and Jo and Karen do not think I need to lose weight. They think I fine just the way I am.
Tomorrow one of my human sisters and I are going to get strict and go on a serious diet (right ha ha). She calls it boot camp. I do not want to go to boot camp it sounds scary. I do not want to go to a camp for boots.
Tomorrow I am going to get run at a real pretty park in town. At this park you can see wild turkey, and deer. It is so pretty.
Gotta go for my evening walk
