June 2nd It is getting hot

The weather here is heating up. I went to the park for a early morning walk. My friends were there and we walked for a long time. It was nice, but you could tell it was going to be hot. As the day has gone on it was gotten hotter. Fortunatly, it will soon cool off, and I will have one day of fun, before it gets hot again.
I got to Rally Obedience class tomorrow, and I hope it does not get to hot there. I hate it when it is so hot. I like to go and sit in the shade, but the other dogs can handle the heat so we do not get many breaks.

June 1st

Hi all
Whoo I had a good day to day. First of all I went to the dog park, and what did my eyes see, but my old friend Nicki I had not seen her and her bother Floyed for a couple of years. It was so nice to see her. We got a chance to play with each other, and I even ran with her brother.
I hope I see her again soon.
This afternoon I had my neighbor dogs over for a couple of hours to play. One of the human kids had a birthday party so the dogs came over to play. They stayed about 3 hours. We had fun running and playing together.
On a sad note I found out yesterday night I lost two friends in the neighborhood. Buddy is moving as his mom died of cancer. He is living with his aunt. Another friend Wicket died of old age. Good bye old friends and thank you for being my friend and the memories.

May 31 chasing squirrels at doggy dash

Hello
Today I went to my favorite event the doggy dash. It is a 5k run and dog activities for all and demos. They had so many vendors, and I got some wonderful doggy cookies (yeah). Everyone was so nice. I had a good time. There were so many nice furs. We all enjoyed meeting each other.
However, the race was not to fun for me as I got in trouble with my human sister. During one of the water stops we had a problem. We were minding our own business and all of the sudden a squirrel appeared. I could not just stand by and not doing anything about the squirrel. So I pulled my leash with human attached to chase the squirrel. Unfortunatly for her she feel into water bowls skinning her knees, and getting some buises. I got free and chased the squirrel. Soon some fun race volunteers joined in the chase. They were not much help, and soon the squirrel was gone. They took my leash back to my human sister. She was mad at me, cause she fell and got hurt. I think she was upset because I was chasing squirrels, and she was not. She could have joined me if she was not so clumsey. Oh well I finished the race, and had fun at the event.
What a wonderful day I had.

May 30th fun fun is coming

Hello
I am so excited for many reasons. The most important is Doggy Dash is tomorrow. I can hardly wait. The Doggy Dash is a 5k or 2k run or walk in a big local park in Sacramento. Afterwards there is a ton of activites and vendors to look at. It is so much fun to see all the dogs. I am so excited.
Next Sunday there is a Doggy Beach Party at the park near my home. Again I am so excited. It is the first year for this event, but it sounds fun. Lots of activities, and a short walk. I hope a lot of dogs come
At the end of June at the state capital there is going to be day just to honor us dogs. There is going to be all kinds of fun stuff. The mayor is even coming how cool is that.
Hopefully, my presidential candidate Senator Obama will claim the nomination this Tuesday. I am excited about it, I can hardly wait until he is our nominee. He is going to make a good president. We have Obama bumper stickers on our car.

May 23 oh no

Hello folks
I have not felt to good for the past few days. My back foot really hurt, and I hide it from my family for a few days. They thought my back problems was acting up again, but I knew better. They were worried. However, when they were not around I would lick my back of foot. A couple of days ago they saw me licking the back of the foot, but could not find anything wrong with it. I have to admit I was good at hiding where it hurt. It was between the toes on top of back paw. Well, today I was found out. My human sister saw the me licking front of paw, and took a good look. It was red, and swollen. It really hurt, so I was kind of glad they found out. My family took me to the vet, and yes I had a foxtail in my paw. He had to do minor surgery to get the foxtail out. It was not to bad, but I hated having a bandage on paw which had to stay for a few hours. Now I am foxtail, and bandage free. I am ready to play and go for a walk. I am so happy. Advice to you dogs tell your people where your paw really hurts, do not try to hide it. Going to vet is no fun, but they can help you.

May 21,2008 So far so good

Hello folks
I am glad the weather finally cooled off. I am so happy and dancing in my head. I so far had a pretty good week. I went to the dog park, and had a lot of fun. I saw my friends Pixey, and B.J.. I look Gator and Pooh Bear to the dog park. We have taken them many times, but they still do not understand the rules. The back seat is mine, and I get to sit in the best sit. Gator thinks just cause he is big he can take up the whole seat. Pooh Bear is pretty good about sharing the seat, but he is small. I think he should sit up front, but he does not want to. He prefers the back seat.
I went to Rally Obedience School last night. It was fun, but my back was really hurting so I was stubborn and did not do as well as usual. I wish my back would not hurt so bad. All the other dogs are so good, I think I should go back to my old class where we were just learning.
I went to the pet store to get Sophie a toy for getting her stitches out. I got a frisbe, and a stuff loofa dog. I wanted a real live rat to play with, but my family would not let me. I think they do not think I would be good to the rat.
However, I think I would. He looked like someone who would be fun to chase.

May 21 2008 summer weather in the middle of spring

Hi
Oh boy has it been hot. This last weekend the temps were in the 100, and that is to hot for me. I am glad it cooled down some. It might rain this coming weekend. I generally do not like the rain, but we really need rain here in Sacramento. The rain I think might be better than the heat. On the other paw the heat might be better, because you can go out an play or walk before it gets to hot. For me that means before 9:00 which is fine as I am get up early. I enjoy the cool morning air. In the rain you really can not go for a walk or play much outside as you get wet. I do not mind getting to wet, but my mom gets mad that I bring in muddy paw prints. My favorite weather would be cool and no rain. Then I could go for a walk, play, run, and just have fun without getting to hot. Oh well I guess I just have to learn to live in this california heat until my family moves

May 10 2008 a mixed day

Hello
I wagging my tail off. My fur sister who is a cat named Sophie is better. The vet called, and told us Sophie did have cancer, but he is 99.99 percent sure he got all the cancer. It sure is good news. The whole family was so worried about her even I could not cheer them up. I thank the vet for making her well again. I just hope she does not start pushing things off the bookshelf on to my head again. However, I do not think her illness has changed her. Just as soon as her stitches are out she will be back to herself.
On a much sadder note a dog friend of mine passed away yesterday night. He was a very happy dog named Buddy. He had a tumor on his pancrease, and was causing bleeding into stomach. The dog doctor could not do much for him, so he went over the rainbow bridge. His family is so sad. His mom usually gives me back rubs at the dog park, but today she was to sad. She had her other dog and was crying. I hope her heart mends soon.

May 5th Happy days of May

Boy have I had a wonderful weekend. I had so much fun it hard to believe.
On Saturday I went to cinco dog mayo. It was a dog party at the place I go to school. I was able to see some of the dogs I do not see anymore. It was nice. I had fun visiting new dogs and playing games. One of the vendors gave away a lot of fun dog treats it was great. There was a nice pond to play in, but my human would not let me as it was really stinky. I would have loved to go cool off my paws. Oh well some humans their noses do not work well, and do not know what smells good.
On Sunday, I got to go to a race, even though I cound not run the race I had fun. There were hill, and the vet told me not to run up hills it is bad for your back. When my human sis was out running I met a lot of nice dogs. Unfortunately she took a terrible fall. She got her knees really banged up. I wish I would have been there to help her. It really hurt to walk, and she could not finish the race. The ambulance people took care of her, but I could have done a better job.
Later that evening my human sis her hurt herself took me to a dog's birthday party. It was fun as I won a lot of neat prizes. I got to meet a dog that looked like me, and some other dogs, I played with author and Lucy the most.
I am tired so I will go take a rest

May 2nd Fun Fun in the Spring sun

I am so happy. Taking my new medicine has really improved life for me. I am having so much fun again and my back does not hurt so much. Although I can not ever climb, and I will miss climbing as I am part Mountain goat I am so happy no to have back pain. In my rally obedience class I was having so much fun I started dancing and jumping around. Everyone was laughing at me.
As to more proof that my back is feeling better I went to the dog park and boy did I have so much fun. I wrestled with Windy, ran with Rigo and Pixey, and played with more other dogs who's names I forgot. I had so much fun. It was just like the old days .
Tomorrow I get to go to a dog party at my school it should be fun. I can hardly wait. There will be games, and run throughs in agility and ralley obedience. There will also be a lot of vendors to look at.
Sunday night I have a birthday party to go too. There is going to be a lot of other dogs at the party. There will be a lot of prizes to win. There is also going to be a pinata filled with dog treats (yeah). There will also be hot dog dunking (yeah). I looking forward to this weekend.
