Leave a bone for Copper Arrival Story: UPDATE 4/21/08: COPPER HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!
UPDATE 3/31/08: Imagine this…
You grew up in a home where the people who cared for you gave you food and water, shelter and some attention. You started out as part of their family but then their lifestyle changed and little by little you became less and less a part of their day – you had to give up your bed for a filty metal chain tied to a dog house in the yard. During the snow, the rain – thunder…you were left cold and lonely. To add more indignity to your story, during a car ride, your “family†opened the door and threw you out. In the middle of the highway. So scared, alone, hungry, dirty – you were left to fend for yourself in an area you knew nothing about. You were left to sleep on the ground and wondered – what is going to happen to me?
During their rounds, a local Animal control officer passed you and picked you up – and your shelter while warm and certainly better than the elements was temporary, because the place you were brought had something called a euthanasia policy.
Such was the life that Copper lived – until one day we came across a plea to help him and changed his life.
Copper is a Senior Beagle and he's just adorable! He loves children and gets along great with other dogs. Copper is a joy to be around. He is always happy despite his past and easygoing is a word we think he invented! Copper appreciates everything we do for him so much - almost as if he KNOWS he was saved.

Copper was dumped along the highway. This little man, although a Senior, gets around great and is such a joy to be around. He is always happy and so easygoing! Copper appreciates everything we do for him so much. He was mostly tied outside in all kinds of weather with no companionship so he is very happy that he can sleep on a bed with a blanket, indoors away from the rain and cold.
Copper would be thrilled to share your home. Senior dogs make the best companions! Neutered, up-to-date on shots, started on heartworm preventatives and micro-chipped, this sweet beagle is so deserving of a great family life â€â€ Å“ Please wonâ€â⠞¢t you provide that for him? Heâ€â†žÂ¢ll smother you with kisses if you could help him. I've Been On Dogster Since:
