Arrival Story:
Amy was found wandering in traffic on I79 outside of Morgantown, WV. Lauren being the well-trained daughter of a former ACO and rescuer stopped immediately and was able to safely corner Amy in the median and get her into the car. She appeared to have recently had a litter of puppies within the past couple of months but no pups were located in the area that she was found. She was taken to the vet where it was determined that Amy was approximately 4 - 5 yrs old. She was very thin and very timid. She is starting to come out of her shell now and is a very good little girl. She still cringes if you move towards her too fast to pick her up or hides her head under her paw if she thinks you are going to hit her, but every day is a new day that is filled with love, food, warmth and a chance to teach her that no one will ever hurt her again.
