Arrival Story:
Gracie's Gotcha day is May 19, 2007. We don't know for sure when her real birthday is. She was 2-3 when we adopted her from Kentucky Lab Rescue in Winchester. When we set out to pick out our baby in Saturday the 18th, we were sidetracked by a plastic bag we got wrapped around the jeep's guts! We set out again on Sunday the 19 (after we sent Bec on her sr. trip). Gracie was not the first dog we saw that day. Although each one we looked at was precious, Bill and I both knew that Gracie (Jasmine at the recue) was our heart dog. After picking her out, we got her in the jeep and headed for Krystal. That's a real treat for us northerners! Gracie got a welcome to the Harding Family hamburger. The lady at the rescue said that she came from a shelter in Memphis. That's about all we know from her past! All that is important now is how she blesses our lives each day!
Bio:
Gracie wnet through the therapy dog training at the Clermont County Training Club in July. We took the TDI test in September. Even though she was stuffed from a pantry raid that day, she passed. She is now an official therapy dog. We have also taken the READ training. We have been involved in Puppy Tales at the library and our own Tail Waggin' Tutors Club at our school. She has only been on one nursing home visit. We are still learning!

i did get to play ball yesterday. i think mom just wanted to get me tired before reading time at the library. mom says i was a very good girl at the library last night. i had lots of kids reading to me. one of the kids even reads to his black lab webkinz every night since he's been reading to me. that made mom real happy. anything that makes her happy makes me happy too! i'm gonna go now and get ready to watch american idol with the fam. :)

i just love it when mom has a snow day-whatever that means. she takes an extra nap with me and i get to hang with her all day. it's nice to have company all day. i hope i get to go out later and play in the snow. it sure does look fun.
