Arrival Story:
We have always had two dogs in our family, but in 1998 Osita passed away after a great 12 years of life. A year later we decided it was time to find another dog to join Zachary and us. We put in a search at the local Humane Society for either a Cocker Spaniel, Sheltie or Australian Shepard. On the morning of our third anniversary (July 31st 1999), we received a call from the Humane Society as they have a 6 month old Cocker mix that we may be interested in. We went down later that morning and met "Baby". She was skinny, but very cute and we both fell in love with her immediately. Three days later we picked her up (after her shots etc) and on the way home while holding her in my lap - I said to Gary "She is a crazy red-head, like Lucy on 'I Love Lucy'". Gary agreed and that is how Lucy came to get her name.

Bio:
She is still a crazy red head and her freckles on her nose are priceless. She has ballooned to 30 lbs but is just as cute as ever.
