Bio:
Maggie was abused by her previous owner. Her story is a sad one as she was found on the street with a new litter of pups that she was unable to nurse because she was so malnourished. She and the pups were rescued by the shelter, but unfortunately, the pups didn't make it. She has put on over 25 pounds since we got her 5 years ago and she is now in a loving home with a family devoted to her well being. She is our child and is spoiled rotten!

Football

Greetings pupsters!

Ok, so what is this thing that our people call "football"? I don't get it. All I know is that they are watching the TV and all of the sudden--while I'm in the middle of a perfectly good nap--they start yelling and screaming! Hello?? I'm SLEEPING here! So then I get up to go see what the fuss is all about, and they give me a pat on the head (once they see me standing there) and then they go back to staring and the tv and/or yelling again. *sigh* Guess I'll just go back to their bed (also known as my bed) and resume my nap.

MOMMY'S HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Greetings pupsters!

My mommy has been away for a long time on "business". That's what my daddy says, but I just know she has been gone for a really long time and I didn't know where she was. She was here when we moved into our new house in August, but then she was away ever since then--but now she's HOME!!!! Mommy said daddy told her I was a really good girl and so mommy brought me all of these presents from her trip. She told me there was a doggie bakery where she went and so she brought me back all sort of yummy goodness from there. She also brought me back some new bandanas (I love my bandanas) and I was very excited about them! Mom told me what some of them say: If you can read this, start petting!; Life's short, spoil the dog!; Mom likes me best!; Way smarter than a dolphin! Mom says she knows I'm going to look beautiful in them and and she also brought me back one with a Hawaiian print (whatever that is). She brought me back a doggie lei that is pink and white and green and I like to strut around when I wear that because I look so pretty. Mommy also brought me back TWO stockings for Christmas and a cookbook on how to make doggie cookies like they do in Hawaii, where she was. She got a lot of doggie stuff for herself too (I don't understand that, but she says it's for our guestroom which is dog-themed).

Mommy told me she missed me and daddy so much that she wasn't ever going to go away for that long again. YAY! That makes me happy. I also showed her that I learned a new trick while she was gone--I learned to get under the fence in the backyard, so when she comes home from the grocery store I surprise her by waiting patiently in teh front yard! I don't understand why she doesn't appreciate this trick as much as I thought she would. Wouldn't it be nice to have someone waiting for you in the front yard when you came home?

Oh well. That's all the time I have to write now. Mommy's home! Mommy's home! YAY!! I'm gonna go play and snuggle with her.

The dog in the door

Greetings pupsters!

My mom was laughing at me last night and I just could not figure out why...We were playing with some of my toys on the floor and had been off and on since the afternoon. Well, mom didn't close the blinds on the sliding glass door. No big deal right? WRONG! Mom threw my ball in that direction and as I went to go get it I saw another dog!! I started telling that dog where he could go, but he was frustrating me because everytime I barked, he'd bark! Everytime I'd cock my head, he'd cock his head--at exactly the same time! Mom was laughing at me and asking me why I was barking at myself--I don't know what she's talking about! I mean, sure that dog looked A LOT like me and sounded like me echoing in the living room, but I'm telling you it was another dog and I was protecting my mom! Then when we went out to go potty before bed, I went charging out the door looking for the imposter, but I couldn't seem to find him. Mom just shook her head and laughed. She said I did a good job protecting her and when we came in she closed the blinds!
