Birthday: May 18th 2006 Likes: Riding in the Truck, chewing on things, bummy skritches. Pet-Peeves: Dogs that bark at him, sharing the water bowl with ANYBODY, Toys that are too complicated. Favorite Toy: The Wubba! a Kong wrapped in canvas with little flailing tails. Favorite Food: Turkey Necks... but he can put down a can of Pabst faster than his pop! Favorite Walk: Right next to the water- at the beach, at the lake, at the river- anywhere I can swim! Best Tricks: After a long time, we have decided to start crate-training Cash. Slow in coming... but he's learning! Arrival Story: After moving into our first house almost 4 years ago, we saw an oppoprtunity we both missed from apartment-dwelling - having a DOG! We started looking right away- trying to find the right dog for us.
We originally wanted a Boston Terrier, but were deterred by their small size. We wanted a BIG dog- but my pining for a Mastiff fell on deaf ears. That was TOO big.
We finally settled on getting a Pit Bull since my Boyfriend had owned several in the past- he vowed they were loyal and gentle and would get along with Cats if raised to do so. We began researching breeders- preferrably local since it's getting increasingly difficult to transport Pit Bulls. After establishing several contacts locally, we got Cash as a gift from a breeder friend of mine. She hand-picked him for us and we couldn't have been blessed with a better dog! Bio: At first, I was scared to own a Pit Bull. But once I learned about them, and precautions are made for the breed, I couldn't have been any happier! Cash loves to play with other dogs and loves people- I love that my dog crashes through stereotypes with the grace of a linebacker! Forums Motto: I got the best Fur Coat on the Block! The Groups I'm In: Bully Ed 101, "Just One Litter" Is Still Too Many, Hollister Dog Owners Group ~ HDOG~, Hollister Dogs, How do I train my dog to do that?, Million Dog March The Last Forum I Posted In: CGC Fail- Greeting Strange Dogs... Characteristic Marks:: Cash has a spot of fur on his right shoulder that grows in reverse- a bad reaction to a flea treatment. It's a little dog-lick! We hope it grows out this summer, but we'll see!
Cash has a re-occuring bald spot on his tail-a 1/2 inch square patch that grows hair, but not very long. We have seen dogs with a similar patch- a Bald Wag spot- the dog wags its tail so much it rubs off the hair!
He also has a dark brown blotch on his right eye's iris from a rough play date a year ago.
