Likes:
Destroying my "stuffies", EATING!!!!! Being the center of attention and wiggling her little 1 1/2 inch stub of a tail. Eating BACON and Milk Bone dog biscuits. If it's the generic brand, FORGET IT, I won't eat them.

Pet-Peeves:
Dogs barking at her and ANYBODY who looks like they might hurt her Mommy.

Favorite Toy:
Stuffies that I can destroy.

Favorite Food:
Pizza!!!!!! and anything that Mommy is eating.

Favorite Walk:
Around the new neighborhood. We are still looking for the "Dog Park" so I can run and play. Rumor has it that there is one about 10 miles away but, we have to take the bus to get there.

Best Tricks:
I don't do tricks, I'm a bulldog and too dignified for tricks.

Arrival Story:
My mommy was in a horrible fire and her right leg was amputated above the knee because the fire burned her leg through the bone and it could not be saved despite the head of Loyola University (Chicago)'s Burn Unit doctor's best efforts. Because her left leg was also damaged in the fire, she is permanently confined to a wheelchair until they can figure out a way for her to grow a new leg. She needed a dog to love, protect and help her. I was "free" and trained to be a Service Dog. Hey, bulldogs are a working breed and need a job to make them happy and this is the best job in the world!!!! Also, Mommy graduated from Vassar College and Yale University is her brother school. Their mascot is the bulldog. Go Yale!!!!!!!

Bio:
My doggie mommy is an American Bulldog and my doggie daddy is an English Bulldog so I am properly classified as a EngAm Bulldog.

Moving Day

Well, time to pack up and move again. Mommy and I have been together for 3 years and this is now my 4th home. Nobody said life would be dull.

Our new home is in a 100 unit senior citizen apartment complex called Marina Del Rey in Beverly Hills, Florida. I think Mommy's got California on the brain. Anyway, it's a second floor unit in a 2 story building so I have to learn how to ride in an elevator. Mommy says it's nothing to be afraid of but.... I don't know. I'm also going to have a balcony so I can survey my "Queendom". It's not the same as having a yard to run around in but at least I'm with Mommy and we can have long walks together.

My days of leisure are over. I am now officially back to work. I have to wear my service dog uniform and perform my duties of pulling Mommy's wheelchair, helping her carry things and in general helping Mommy whenever she needs it.

Oh yes, Mommy is going to be teaching computer classes to the other residents. Maybe I can get in a few pets and goodies while she's teaching. This diet dog food is killing me. Bacon, bacon, I need more bacon!!!!!!!

I'M BACK!!!!!!!!

This last year and a half have been one heck of a ride but, I'm back and ready to dance and party!!!!!!

Let's see, where do I begin????? Oh yes, 4 months ago, Mommy's computer mysteriously kicked the bucket so a friend of a friend offered to fix it. 3 months go by and still no computer. In the meantime, Mommy is forced to use a friend's office computer and OMD a DIAL UP connection. Mommy just about lost all her marbles. My take on it was that it was a Dell and didn't deserve to live (don't get Mommy on her soapbox about Dell products). So Mommy finally decided to get a new HP with Windows 7 and it just arrived on Friday. Thus, I am back online. By the way, this new Windows 7 really ROCKS!!!!!!

Anyway, for the past year and a half Mommy and I have been living in a nursing home. I got a major burr under my saddle and decided that I no longer liked certain men (mainly Physical Therapists) and a certain nurse who worked there. The final straw was when she had a hotdog in her pocket and wouldn't give it to me. She claimed I tried to bite her - which I most certainly did not do - reported me to management and we were not too politely asked to leave. After much panicking, Mommy found us this absolutely HEAVENLY place to live - 2 1/2 fenced in acres out where Christ lost his sneakers and best of all a new pack of friends to run and play with. Jake, the alpha male, is a sort of pitbull hound mix who tears bumpers off of trucks, eats car wiring, cedar planks and rats in addition to massive quantities of cookies and dog chow. He's my hunting buddy. He taught me how to hunt rats (Sorry Mom, a dog's gotta do what a dog's gotta do). Sissy, a beautiful 2 year old female German Shepherd and Joey, a male Rottweiler - he's very laid back. Jake, Sissy and Joey own Jan, Mommy's new roommate who is a wonderful woman that takes very good care of Mommy and me. Anyway, suffice it to say that Mommy and I are very, very, very happy.

When Mommy first got me, I had stage 3 heartworm. I had to go through that horrible treatment process but I SURVIVED and became fat, happy and SASSY, thanks in part no doubt to those 14 strips of bacon that the residents fed me on a daily basis. I ballooned to 56 pounds and was forced to go on a diet and eat DIET DOG FOOD no less. In the 4 months that I have lived in my new home I have now lost 10 pounds and only have 6 more to go thanks in part no doubt to all the fresh air and sunshine I am now getting.

So, that's my story. I can't wait to see all my old friends and make new ones. CHAIO!!!!!!
