Well I had a busy day today. My mom had off from work because of the MLK holiday so we went to Merrill Creek for a walk. it was the third day in a row! Wow I'm a lucky puppy....
Grandma made me a new coat since my other one was getting too small. My new coat is made out of leopard print polarfleece. I look Poodle-liscious in it!
After my walk, mom gave me a bath and groomed me. I smell like a coconut now. I was a good boy for the blow dryer and for having my face, feet and tail shaved. Mom said I look like a baby bear.
This evening was my third Puppy K class. I'm still the smartest puppy in class and things are so easy for me. We worked on heel. That was a little harder but as long as no one leaves crumbs on the floor I'm pretty good at it! At the end of the class we got to do some jumping. That was easy since I had already gone to Puppy Agility on Friday. Mom practiced her footwork and signals and me? Well I had a blast. Mom said I was Poofect tonight!

WOW! Mom took me to Merrill Creek two days in a row! At first she said it was too cold but I had too much energy this morning. Usually I have a hard time getting out of bed inthe morning. I sleep in an xpen next to my mommy's bed and I have my very own super cozy bed. It's so thick and has a huge bolster in the back. I hate the alarm and I'm getting good at sleeping through it. Mom has to literally drag me out of bed sometimes in the morning because she knows that I will need to potty right away and she has to get busy taking care of all of her pets before work. Anyway.... this morning I woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed! I was a little naughty this morning too... I climbed out of my xpen that I was supposed to stay in while mommy scoops cat litter boxes. I just wanted to explore! Besides, Marmalade, the orange cat was teasing me and calling me names. He dared me to climb out. I think he was just trying to get me in trouble. In the end though everything worked out. Instead of just walking around town, mommy put my coat on me and took me to the woods so I could get really good exercise! I'll have to remember that next time I want to go!

Merrill Creek is a great place to go. My mommy started taking me when I was only 11 weeks old. Her mommy (my grandma) rescues greyhounds and the greyhound group walks every weekend at Merrill Creek. They don't mind me coming even though I'm a curly poodle. I have more energy than they do and I can walk and walk and walk and not get tired.
Mom put my new harness on today since she says that Merrill Creek is a walk for ME. In town I have to walk nicely next to her but at Merrill Creek she puts a retractable leash on me so I can run! I like to run as fast as I can and then when I'm at the end, I stand and wait for mom to catch up then I run up again. I also really love sticks and I try to pick them up on the path when I'm running. There was a really big stick (mom said it was a "log"). I tried to pick it up but it wouldn't budge. I'll get it next time though.
You should see the resevoir! The water is so big! Way bigger than my water bowl at home. Me and all the greyhounds can drink at one time.
Today, my grandma's greyhound, Cat Nap, wanted to walk up front so my mommy walked both of us. She loves Cat and says he is her favorite greyhound. He's pretty cool. I stood up on my back feet and hugged him and then gave him lots of poodles kisses.
Usually we walk on Sundays but this weekend Saturday had the better weather. I love my walks in the woods!

Last night I went to Puppy Agility for the first time. When I got there I got a little nervous at the metal stairs since they echo when you go down them. I'm a brave pup though and I figured it out.
Agility is FUN! This class is just for puppies. Mom says I'm not allowed to jump anything big yet since my bones are still growing so the jumps were only 6 inches tall. I learned to jump a regular pole jump, a broad jump and a panel jump. I also jumped through the tire jump (of course I have one of those at home so that was easy). Mom also had me go through the barrel part of a chute. That was weird at first! But like I said, I'm brave. At the end of the class, all the puppies got to run a course for the first time. My mom and I did really well. I was the best puppy in the class (that's what my mom told me). I didn't refuse a single obstacle although I did drop a rail on one of the jumps since my feet are still too big for my body. I also got distracted at the chute since another puppy's owner dropped cookies over there. I was even good on the pause box. I got right up and sat when my mommy told me to. Sitting is easy. I knew that one already.
The other puppies in the class were really nice. There was Rocket, the 5 months old Sheltie, Tyke, the 8 month old JRT and Bella the 6 month old golden/poodle mix. I wasn't allowed to play with them in class since I was supposed to concentrate. That's okay though... I get to play with puppies in my Puppy K class and since I go to daycare when my mommy is at work, I play with other dogs all day!
