wait (before he can eat, with a treat on the nose - which he then catches, with a treat directly in front of him, etc), and "Bang" ( play dead),
Arrival Story:
We were looking for a puppy forever. We moved to a new apt specifically so we could get a dog. After months of looking on petfinder we went to the Jersey City SPCA. Alex (going by Nick in those days) was there. He was the only puppy not barking and being insane! He also looked like a jack russel which we were looking for. We took him out of his crate and held him, he was so lovey. Caroline was nervous to get a puppy (b/c of our cat) but Tim HAD to have him! Tim went and paid and Alex moved to the big city!
ps - Caroline has come to adore Alex and the cat likes him too!
Bio:
Alex is the best boy ever. He has calmed down significantly in the three years we've had him. He still loves to rip up toys, and squeak them at innapropriate times (eg: when the neighbors are sleeping), but he also is a really good nap buddy. He is a master at making the cutest puppy dog faces when he thinks he might be getting in trouble! He is terrible at fetching or catching anything - unless its food of course, when suddenly he is a pro! Alex also has become best friends with our cat. They enjoy play fighting with each other. Alex might be bigger, but he knows Micky McKitty is in charge!
