Arrival Story:
We met Gretzky's parents and brothers and sisters when we went to get him. He was the last puppy that I picked up and it was love at first sight! He was so skittish and he hated riding in the car. He tried to get under the seat on the way home! That didn't last long and now Gretzky LOVES to go to ride!

Gretzky is a spoiled rotten boy. He can get anything he wants from Mom and Chris. He like attention, but he's not one to give doggie kisses very often. If you ever get one, consider it a gift. He wants to be petted and loved....when he wants to be petted and loved. He tends to be independent and a little standoffish.....unless he wants to be petted and loved. To have Gretzky come and snuggle up to you or let you pet him for any length of time (other than rubbing his belly, which he will let you do all day if you will), it is a true honor. Gretzky is very sweet and easy-going. He is still energetic and always ready to go for a walk or ride or to play, but he has calmed down quite a bit from his youth. Gretzky is smarter than he wants you to think. I'm quite sure that he understands everything I say to him, but he pretends not to and goes right one with what he's doing. Gretzky is extremely friendly and will show a robber where the family jewels are in exchange for a treat! Everyone who comes to our house, comes to see him. Oh yeah, he's oblivious to the fact that he is a dog! ;0) Gretzky and Nyla are kind enough to share their home with Mom & Chris. They allow us to feed them, walk them and even sleep in their bed! Gretzky has a beautiful, sexy blonde girlfriend, Ally. Ally lives in Virginia, so they don't get to see each other very often. Gretzky is jealous because Ally gets snow at her house. Here on St. Simons Island, the sand is the closest thing to snow that we see!

I'm a teenager now!!!

Today is my birthday and I am now a teenager. Mom thinks that having a teenager in the house again is going to be easy because she thinks that I'm going to be better behaved....well, I'm not so sure about that!!! I *have* been spoiled for 13 years and I like things my way and that is all Mom's fault! ;0)

We have been celebrating my birthday month all month long as usual except for that terrible day last week when Mom took us to the vet. She knows that we don't like that place, but yet she continues to take us there at least once a year! She says that it is for our own good, but after 13 years, I'm still not buying it!

I am an uncle now too. My human brother, Randy, has a new puppy, Maddox. I'm okay with it as long as Maddox stays where he is...5 hours away!!!

It's my Birthday Month!!!

Mom says that since dogs don't get as many birthdays as humans do that we should get a whole birthday month every year. January is my Birthday Month. The only problem is that my human brother, Randy, has his birthday in January too. He doesn't understand that I get a whole month and he only gets a whole day. Mom has told him for 11 years now that I am special, but he just doesn't understand. He says that I act like my mission in life is to make Mom happy and that I suck up to her to make him look bad. He says that Mom gives me whatever I want and want to know why. Mom always tells him that if he treated her like I treat her, then he would get everything he wanted too. He's my brother and I love him, but, like most humans, he's not really all that bright! ;0)

I'm really looking forward to the Frosty Paws that Mom always gives us on our birthdays. This year I hope she give us the peanut butter kind!
