It took us just over 2 years to find the breed of dog we really wanted and that was the Small Munsterlander. We found our breeder after reading a copy of Dogs Annual and searching online. http://pic7.piczo.com/smallmunster lander/
We went to visit the puppies a few times to check out the kennels, dogs, and breeders. We feel in love with the small munsterlander. Everything about this breed is meant for us. He is the most loving and joyful dog I have ever met. He is smart and agile in every weather condition - even the COLD WET and SNOW eek! When we first brought Wade home we had a camping trip that we had planned 2 years prior. We were worried that we would have to cancel and lose the security deposit we had paid for. At the last minute we decided to just bring Wade with us and just see how things went. What a wonderful trip we all had to Parry Sound Ontario. We stayed at Osler Lake Park and Wade slept in his own NorthFace Tent! We were able to play with him all day and put him down for his afternoon nap in his tent while we went into town to eat and do some shopping. Wade learned how to swim for the first time at Osler. He swam from me to my husband just like a little waterbaby. I really think this trip was what made Wade the way he is today. He met about 50 dogs and his best buddy was a HUGE fluffy Malmute. When I think of our first days with Wade these are the memories that come to mind in an instant. :)
