Arrival Story: I was abandoned when I was around 1-1 1/2 years old and picked up by Animal Control in Longview, Texas where it was decided I would be euthanized due to testing positive for heartworms.
Fortunately for me, I had a few tricks up my sleeve, you know your basic shake paw and sit. And so one of the attendants took a liking to me and decided to call a local rescue group called "Pick of the Litter".
Someone from the group came to visit with me a day before I was scheduled to be euthanized, she decided I was a great little guy and really deserved a chance to have a good life. So I was taken to a foster mom's home, received
vet care for my heartworms and was gradually healthy enough to be placed on Petfinder.com for adoption.
In February 2002 I met my new mom and dad for the first time. My mom had seen my picture on Petfinder and fell in love with me instantly. So her and dad made the trip to Longview to visit with me and my foster mom.
The visit went well and off I went to my forever home.
Sometimes it's so hard to believe that I went from the streets, hungry, sick and unloved to the most loving and caring home a dog could ever ask for. I love my mom and dad so much and I am just down right spoiled rotten.
Life is good! No it's awesome!!!
Bio: My family and I firmly believe in spaying and neutering, adoption of unwanted dogs and adoption of older dogs.
By having your dog spayed or neutered you do your part in helping with the endless numbers of homeless pets who are wandering the streets,
uncared for, unloved, and ill. Many of these animals will end up being euthanized because there just aren't enough people to adopt them or resources to care for their needs.
Always consider adoption as a choice when looking for your canine companion, many of these dogs have had such an undeservingly sad and hard life. All they need is lots of love and some TLC and you'll have yourself
the bestest friend you could ever imagine.
Please consider adopting an older dog. An older dog can make a wonderful companion. They really deserve so much more and you really can teach an old dog new tricks:)

I would rather be a bunny... because I have some wild ones in my yard and their poop is so tasty ( I'm sorry mom)

I think I can find them all especially if they are peanut butter flavor!!

1. I hate dressing up, I hate hats, sweaters coats etc etc....I like being nakey...BOL
2. When I'm out for a walk or at the vet and I smell another animals or dog's scent, my mouth moves like I'm talking, I call it my ratter chatter.
3. I really don't like other dogs getting around my 'behind".
4. I love to lick....anything......BOL
5. The hotter it is, the better I like it, I'm definitely not a cold weather kind of guy.
6. I'm obsessed with my dad's ears...I love to stick my tongue in them...hehehe
7. I love when mom calls me her little baby.....ummmm mom I'm almost 9 years old, I'm not a baby anymore.
